Last March I picked up an M&P 15T at an awesome price, them my wife decided she wanted one so just before the election we were looking for a new Charles Daly but they were nowhere to be found so she settled on an M&P 15a. Tossed the stock handguards for a Midwest Industries Quad Rail, installed a Magpul MOE grip with a SOG Armory Graphite VFG, a Command Arms Surefire Scorpion mount and a Vickers Sling. The "T" model is essentially stock wih the exception of a Magpul MOE, the VFG.a Pentagon M2 Xenon light with laser on an ARMS mount and a Eotech 512.A65.1 she bought me last week for my birthday! So far, the "T" has 2600 rounds downrange with zero problems and the "A" just reached the 600 mark last week, again without an issue. Were both going to be taking a Vickers Tactical Carbine and 1911 course this summer and I expect that they will keep functioning flawlessly! One thing I will point out is that is you have one with the Troy flip up sights is make sure you use blue loctite. I learned this the hard way!! Overall I'd give both of these ARs a 9 out of 10, the only reason I wouldn't give them a 10 is the nitpicking stuff like the sights not being properly mounted. Overall if your looking for a great "black rifle" I'd highly suggest looking at the M&P 15s. Now if they'd just come out with an M&P series of shotguns but I have a feeling that wll be coming down the road!

I just put Magpul MOE handguards on mine too. BIG improvement in grip and handling, and at a great price too.
