I like them. They are comfortable and grippy. I bought enough to do the whole rail but thought it looked stupid all done. Now I just have them where I grip the rail.

My new T
ACOG and butt-stock are my only upgrades...old bipod grip I used in Afghanistan, we always jokingly called them gangster grips.

this started off as a M&P OR-15...add-ons from barrel to butt:
Magpul Handguard
Magpul Angled Foregrip
Eotech 512
Vortex 3x Magnifier on a swing mount
Magpul MIAD Grip with AA battery insert
BCM Gunfighter Charging Handle
Magpul CTR Stock
Magpul Enhanced Rubber Buttpad
love this rifle...clean, accurate, and light...the only other things i might add is a Timney drop-in trigger and a single-point sling...
i had someone offer me $3,500 cash at the range the other day for it...i wouldn't sell this thing for $10,000 right now.

It is the Magpul MBUIS that came with the rifle out of the box.

"Big Momma" (with Betty looking on)
-Magpul short handguard
-Magpul AFG2
-Olight Warrior
-XS XTI offset sights
-Vortex SPARC
-Magpul MOE grip
-Doublestar TI7 stock
Obviously, this is not proper line-of-sight, but wanted to show how low-profile the XS XTIs are. I really like them.

Zombie green is cool too. Could go all preppie and make a rifle combining pink and green furniture! ROFL.
I just wanted a touch-o-pink. Enough to identify it as my girl-gun, but not over the top.
The XS offsets are hot. They are one of my favorite firearm purchases ever. Just tip the rifle a smidge and sights are on target...without all of the bulk of off-set irons, or irons on 45 degree rails.

I changed my M&P15 to my KISS rifle. It started out long
range duty and got stripped down to home defense duty.
It has a light, and a Colt carry handle. Not much else.
It feels so good this way too.
Before and after...

OIF2 ...
Could you possibly tell me what type of EOTech scope that is on your rifle in the image above?
The model name / model number if you have it would be great.
Thank you for your time.

Eye protection?
Ear protection?
Should be wearing both if she is going to begin shooting at her age or even handling a rifle.
Hence the "teach her well" comment below would be most apt for her ... not just shooting, but learning to respect the weapon (or weapons in general) by taking the proper course of safety around them by wearing said eye and ear protection.
Just my opinion and in no way is it meant to lambast you at all. I just have a thing for kids needing to wear eye and ear protection at ALL times around weaponry.
Instill that safety protocol into them at a young age and they'll pass it along to others either their age or to their children.
Take care,

I love my S&W MP-15. I had the fellows at Blackwater go through it and fix it right. The gun will shoot as well as my big berral target gun.
I suggest having the barrel cryogentaly treated for outstanding accuracy.

Here's the evolution of my Sport from proud MSR...
To a not-so-scary-in-California featureless rifle...
The front sight is just a placeholder for the picture while I wait for a clone ARMS flip up to arrive. There's a low profile gas block under the handguard so the front sight will just be clamped onto the barrel in a pseudo-dissipator configuration.
It kind of looks like something James Bond would have used when fighting off Largo's scuba divers in Thunderball.

New to ARs
New to AR15.....picked up my M&P 15OR a couple of weeks ago. Been to the range a few times and fired off a few hundred rounds, love it. No issues at all, what a fine gun. I can't believe what I've been missing just shooting little handguns all this time .
I can't leave anything stock, so what I did:
Troy folding M4 front BUIS
Troy battlesight rear folding
Magpul STR carb stock
Hogue grip
Magpul MS3 sling
Omega Tactical rails (what a steal for the price!)
Troy rail covers
Vortex Strikefire Red/Green dot
Magpul B.A.D. lever
Magpul AFG1 angled foregrip (AFG2 was too small)
BCM Mod4 charging handle
Magpul enhanced buttpad
and....red/white crayons

Can you tell me about the 2X42 scope? I purchased an M&P 15 not to long ago and it the same scope attached. Maker? Model? I broke it down as far as I could but didn’t find any manufacturer info.
Thanks !

M&P15 picture thread
Here's my sport! This is pic is about 2months old though. No real recent pics yet. I did move my Tru Glo red dot onto the top of the upper. Also installed Magpul MIAD pistol grip and B.A.D lever. I'll take pics tomorrow of it in its current config.
And as promised. Here is a pic taken today.
Here is how she sits today.
Update! Traded in the eotech 512 for the shorter 551 and added magpul mbus rear sight.

Mine are the Troy MRFsomethingorother. They are not quite "drop in", the delta ring assembly needs removed, it's a freefloat rail.
