Posting a new pic of my M&P15 MOE with its sidekick M&P.357sig. When I got my Nations Finest Rebate in the mail, Smith and Wesson was nice enough to include a very cool coin.

Started life as an M&P 15 Sport but it's gone through a few changes:
Needless to say, I got bitten by the upgrade bug.

I am a little partial to this one.
It shoots at least as well as I do. The S&B glass does not hurt.

After three years of playing Barbie with the three OR's I bought, I decided to let go of two of them, and make the last one into the best combination of pieces and parts for my sole Urban Rifle. I've got 4,500 rounds through it without ANY kind of malfunction, and most of that ammo was steel-cased Russky stuff, plus a few handloads here and there. The objective was to keep the weight to a minimum, while adding touches that would make it more shootable. A 4-pound Timney single-stage trigger and a 2X7 Redfield give me the ability to hit walnuts at 100 yards, the rifle runs a hair over MOA with cheap ammo, about 3/4 with its favorite handloads. That's about as good as I can hold, and plenty good enough for any situation I'd ever use it in!

Here is my boomstick. I gotta say, I think SW has one of the best looking roll marks. I started life out as a MP15OR. I thought I was done but now after seeing the VTACs, I'm not so sure.

Nice! My 15T's config (pictured middle of last page) is quite similar and works really well for me.
I handled a M&P15TS a while back and was very impressed with its weight - or rather lack thereof. I've been considering assembling a lightweight carbine since. My 15T is going nowhere but having a really light carbine on hand would be nice.

Thanks Deaj. I've been toying with the idea of switching out the Larue handguard for the Vtac of similar length. Also getting rid of the Eotech combo for an Aimpoint or Acog and the Troy VFG cause it's only there for hand position. With those changes it might be able to drop a pound. I've had the rifle for a couple years now and it's incredibly reliable. There has been a couple hiccups with reloads, it's only seen maybe a couple hundred factory rounds.

My modified M&P15T
Not a Smith & Wesson but it is the recipient of a number of donor parts from my M&P15T. My son and I just finished building this rifle for precision shooting:

First (and second) M&P15
I just purchased my first and second M&P15. One is the 15T and the other a 15-22. I've had them for two weeks and have been able to shoot them on two occasions. Lots of fun. I'd like to add a 3x Magnifier to the 15T and move the MBUIS's from the 15T to the 15-22.

Unfortunantly because of work and a bunch of other things, no. I made a little range date with my girlfriend though hahah. We are going this sunday and I have 100 rounds to screw around with so it should be fun.

I don't have another picture, but my dad got it for me. I think it is just an off brand. $40 UAG-CQRC Aluminum Carbine-Length Handguard Quad-Rail System w/ Covers * GunWarrior
I want to get a nice free floating one soon though.
Here is an updated picture I took with my phone the other day.

Your rifle looks great; a fine poodle-shooter! It's great to see the next generation of Americans get enthused.

Yours and mine are identical minus scope and my fore grip! Guess great minds think alike! I'm not wholly digging the lateral play in the MOE hand guard, but it's not going anywhere, and it looks badass

It's positioned that far forward so you can use a magnifier behind it. I don't plan on using one but I do like the sight that far forward. It works better for me than one close to the rear of the flat top. It provides a better field of view around it with both eyes open.

Thanks man!
Here is a better picture I took with the scope on. I ended up having to move it a little bit more forward because I couldn't adjust the zoom because it was such a tight fit on my rear sights.
I was just using that bipod to boresight it. I don't keep it on there.

Before & After - M&P-15 Sport
Here is my M&P-15 Sport I picked up today.
Before:
After:
Slide Fire stock, MagPul MOE handguard & vertical grip, EOTech 522, & single point sling.
I had to mod the stock a bit because of the larger trigger guard, but it runs like a scalded cat now.
