Small change, didn't care for the DD hard mount, so went back and swapped for a T1 with QR mount instead .

Very nice mods...not over the top at all! Way too many range ninjas with every bell and whistle on their AR's....unless you're clearing rooms or working in a self defense/spec ops/law enforcement setting, there is absolutely no reason to have 200 things attached to your rail.

Updated:
Aimpoint Micro T1 with QR mount (replacing H1 solid mount)
Battle Arms Dev Ambi Safety
Norgon Ambi Mag Release
Magpul BAD lever (may or may not keep this, testing it for now)
And since I just picked up a SIG 22 in FDE, I decided to match up the AR as well, so swapped furniture over to FDE - ignore the Black STR they didn't have FDE in stock so it's on order. Guess I'll have to pick up at least one FDE mag so I can be photo-worthy .
Apologies for the oily pics, need to clean it up a bit.

Very nice, black and tan works well. You've changed furniture like my wife changes her mind. How do you like the Aimpoint?

I'm only counting it as one change, as I was able to exchange the OD's for the FDE's. I think I only had them 2 or 3 days - kind of like the 5 minute rule...
I like the Micro - just picked it up Thursday so have not used it at the range yet, but I like that I can see "around" it so much easier than normal sized red dots. I shot a buddy's M3 and it's a pretty dramatic difference, at least to my eyes. The night vis compatibility really isn't of any use to me right now, but I got a nice deal with this setup with QR over the separate H1/DD mount so I went ahead and grabbed it. Plus much less going on on the rail is a bonus also.

Where did you buy the tube and the stock?
I'm in the same scenario in MA and looking for the replacement as the tube too long

What do you think about the Tango Down rubber cover on the Micro? LGS advised it wasn't really needed when I bought my micro, but I just don't care for "cups n string" cover that comes with it. 3X looks sweet .

Thanks! I really like the TangoDown cover since it does provide protection to the glass elements of the Micro. I'm able to manipulate removing and replacing the covers with one hand also. And yeah, it's probably not necessary, since it's one of the toughest red dots you could buy, but when you're paying $600 for an optic, it gives me some peace of mind.

Not a 15, but a quick pic of the Sig (GSG) 1911 22 in FDE... I wasn't specifically looking for FDE, the LGS just happened to have one, and I like that the FDE finish diminishes all the extraneous "printings" that GSG/ATI puts on their firearms... They gave me a nice deal so I took it home
I'll have to get the others cleaned up and take a family pic lol.

Was at the LGS today, and fondled a 3X lol. Kinda thinking I may go scope instead, maybe a VXR or Mark AR - for a companion to the T-1 though, haven't decided.

Just use a hosting service, like photobucket, or copy.com or dropbox even... upload your pics, and it will give you a pre-formatted link you can post right into your message which will display your pics...
I use Photobucket currently (credit to JaPes for this) but have used Copy.com and Dropbox previously for simple hosting. Photobucket is nice b/c you can setup albums, edit pictures, add effects, etc.

Minor update to the OR - LGS has been hounding me about Troy, telling me how great their Battle Sights are, etc. Told me to try them, if I don't like them he'll take them back... so how can one pass up a deal like that... Well I certainly couldn't. Still not thrilled with some of their politics, but I will give them a fair shake... Took the opportunity to add some more FDE-love...
Worst case, I hate them and give them back in a week or two. Or, I love them, and move the Magpul Pro's over to the 15-22. $200 sights on a 15-22? Why not, it's my rifle . Hike your own hike and all that. If I put a $100 stock on it why not $200 sights... Plus the polymers on it now are so... something. Bulky? Ugly? Noisy? Did I say bulky yet? .

Well, worst case it is. Can't really give an exact reason, but i just didn't care for them today. My groups opened up some, the FDE front sight kinda blended in, for lack of a better description, with some targets/backrounds down range I think. Or at least to my color vision deficient eyes, anyway . I also didn't care for the fact that they lock up, vs the Pro's which snap up solidly, but can fold down if hit by an obstruction. It also didn't seem like they grabbed the rail just right. There was some space around the upper area of the rail, which may be a non-issue, but it just didn't look right.
Anyway, back to the Magpul Pro's. I pulled the Troys and put the Pro's on and everything was right in the world again lol...

So, 78Staff, you're saying you'd recommend the Pros? I'm seriously considering one for the front of mine. Squid grips arrived today, lo pro gas block and Alpha rail will be here tomorrow, so you can see where this is going.

Definitely. All metal, so no heat/gas block issues, small profile, simple no-tool adjustment that wont move unless you want it to - what's not to like . Folded down they are about half the height of the Troys or the Magpul standard polymers...
I know plenty of folks like the Troy/MI design, but it just seems bulkier, and I don't like that it locks up. I want them to be able to fold away if hit by something. That and while the FDE was okay on the back, on the front it just didn't sight well for me (admittedly perhaps my issue). Black is where it's at .
My only complaint on the Pro's is with the Rear sight, the adjustment knob could be smaller. But it is a minor complaint.

I have this rail too, and think it is awesome.
Question though... Why bother installing the IWC QD sling mount when the rail already has a QD hole? Specifically, the QD hole is just to the left of TROY insignia in your pic above, seemingly adjacent to where you installed the IWC QD sling mount??

I wonder if the Delta would work over an OR gas block (instead of the typical A2 type sight)...
Got the MOE now but thinking about a longer than carbine length handguard setup...

Because it was right where my palm lands when I grip the rifle. I added the QD to solve that problem.

That was exactly why I added the Troy rail. There was talk that this rail will work with the OR if I remember correctly.

The Troy Rail will work with the OR. You will have to trim about 1/4" off of the bottom of the gas block.

M&P15OR Magpul Upgrades
Smith and Wesson M&P15OR
~ Magpul MBUS Pro Front & Rear Back Up Iron Sights
~ Magpul MOE Stock with Enhanced Rubber Butt Pad
~ Magpul MOE Grip
~ Magpul MOE Trigger Guard, Polymer
~ Magpul MOE Hand Guard
~ Magpul MOE MVG Vertical Grip
The Mbus Pro's are absolutely awesome! For so many reasons! I would recommend these sights for anyone who is looking to put any type (Polymer, steel or otherwise) of flip up sights on their rifle. These Mbus Pro's are perfect!
Thanks for looking!

+1 on the Pro's, I've heralded them a few times in various threads - Magpul was kinda late to the party with their metal sights, so the Troy/MI design seems to get the most press - but I tried the Troy Folders also and much prefer the Pro's. Smaller profile, no-tool adjustments, solid flip up/down mechanism but will fold back down on impact if needed. I have the std polymer mbus's on my 15-22 and every time I look at them I am reminded how much nicer the Pro's are .
Nice setup there as well
