Your not "feeling it" because your not "shooting it". You have to get use to the heavy trigger. It will make you a better shooter.
The resale is bad so hold onto it and learn to shoot it.

I agree with Kenster. Hold on to it. Shooting the Sigma will make you a better Marksman. Yes, trigger takes some getting used to. Practice.

Aren't the three main purposes of forums:
1. show off what you have
2. show that you know everything
3. never admit that you don't know something and lie to preserve the illusion that you know everything.

Seriously though, thanks. I did a lot of research, on forums oddly enough, before I had to confidence to attempt the project.

I have several SIGMAs, but my SW40Ti is probably the most unusual.

Your stainless steel versions weigh in 20% heavier than this Titanium SIGMA

hi all! just finished another mod on my 9, thought i'd post it. just got done windowing my slide, i think it looks awesome. probably the most modded sigma here. polished internals, welded trigger connector to reduce creep, stretched and trimmed springs, custom trigger stop, "bedded" slide, custom beavertail, and houge rubber grip. night sights and porting next to come, maybe even skeletonized slide, maybe. also pictured is my matching s&w powerglide.

Just a heads up that a fore grip on a pistol is illegal unless you have a tax stamp making it an AOW.

NOT THAT YOU EVER ATTACHED ONE TO A PISTOL.

Thank you for the heads up. I would never attach one to a pistol and then brag about it on the internet. Never mind that grip size hole in the yard. I wouldn't do well in prison.

The tax stamp is only $5, but the paper work and red tape can turn out to be ridiculous. Plus knowing the Feds this would end up becoming a serious felony netting 10 years to life in prison. Maybe you should go plant a tree where you buried it.

Thank you, I'll defiantly look into that. I planted a forest. Also, I think that there should be paperwork that comes with your firearm on what you can't do to it. They give the warning on a curling iron and chainsaw, why not there?

My turn... SW9VE, had it since late Nov, 1500+ rounds through it. First pistol, happy so far. Polished the barrel and slide serrations, added a Glock 19 HiViz front sight.

Default SW40F x 14 years and going strong

I've been carrying my 1st generation Sigma for since 1997. The Bianchi IWB holster wore out a couple of years ago. The skateboard tape on the right side of the grip (none on the left side) provides a secure hold and has remained in place without peeling for 12 years. Rather remarkable in the Arizona heat and sweat.

Has anyone thought about duracoat or guncoat? I bet that would be some really cool ideas, like an olive drab slide with either black or brown frame?

I am an older fella so I have been around and seen quite a few things all over the world. That said, I remember back in the late 70' and 80's while in LE it was drilled into us that you hold the flash light away from your body so that the BG doesn't shoot you while targeting the light. Let's face it, if someone is waving around a flashlight in the dark, the only target you have is the light. Now, every TV show or movie shows flashlights attached to the pistol or carbine. Perhaps it is so that you have a free hand? Personally, I see pretty good in the dark, even at my age. Light ruins the night vision and gives one a sense of tunnel vision.

Just my thoughts on flashlights being attached to the pistol. I guess it does help one by not having to search for a flashlight. And, I guess you really don't have to use it.

Am I just old fashioned and out of date, or is there a good theory attached to having a lit target on you by attaching it to your pistol? If I was going to be shooting at someone in the dark and they presented me with a beam of light, I would be shooting toward the light, hoping to hit center of mass BEHIND the light.

Like I said, these are just ramblings of from a senior. I am not attempting to start an argument. I was just commenting after seeing some of these really nice photos of pistol mods and accessories.

i think the idea behind the flashlight is that the newer LED models provide so many lumens, that when used correctly they blind and provide a distraction. i dnt know about you but if youve ever looked into a LED before just a single one is enough to blind, now imagine that times 10 or 20. thats just what ive experienced.

I see both points here, so if we keep our flashlights away from our bodys we can still blind them and have the element of suprise.

I have a friend that has a wilson combat 1911, and it is two toned, and looks really sexy. That what I was thinking, that these Sigmas would look good too. I think the frame can be painted too right?

you can paint the frame. duracoat is epoxy based so as long as you prep it correctly(600 grit thoroughly + red scuff pad) and a very good degreaser it will last the life of the gun.
