I am also tring to wait patiently for my rebate I sent in on Feb 10. First time I checked online, I entered the wrong phone number. After that, even when I corrected my phone number, it said it had no record. Logged off and back on, entered correct phone number and it showed up as being processed. So make sure your info is correct or log off and back on if you need to correct it. Still no rebate though. I liked the 9mm Sigma, but was looking for a glock as the trigger feels better to me. But when they offered the rebate, I decided to try the Sigma. Fired 300 rounds, I like it, got use to the trigger, and was thinking about getting it in the 40 cal version. But since I still have not recieved my rebate and see so many others having problems, I will no longer factor the rebate in my future buying decisions. With out the rebate, a Glock is looking like the better deal to me. Really, does it take that long to send a check? It has already been processed and approved, whats the reason for the long delay except to piss people off and lose customers?

Just thought I would update those that care. I sent my form in the last week of December well yesterday afternoon in the mail my rebate arrived. It only took around 12 weeks but I did get it. Now I can order up my crossbreed holster.

I mailed my rebate form in the last week of Feb. and it showed up on the website as a "Valid submission received on March 5th" a couple of days ago. To me it really doesn't matter when the 2 extra mags get here. This pistol is worth every penny of the $299 that I paid for it. I've put almost a thousand rounds through it of various ammo and it has never hiccuped.

Well, mine has changed to shipped 3/22. Don't know if my ranting helped or if it just took that much time to work it's way through the system, but we'll see when it arrives.

I'm sorry, but I have a different view on rebates than a lot of you. I see rebates as a round about way for companies to take out no interest loans off the books. Afterall, they're not doing me a favor giving me my own money back. With the number of rebates S&W deals with, that's an awful lot of free float. Add to that the fact that a Sigma is worth $250 tops and I do have a tendancy to get a little impatient. Since I took the convenient route and paid a premium to buy mine from Academy, after all is said and done, I'll have around $292 in mine, after taxes and rebate.

I have no problem with being patient, when I'm being dealt with fairly. Unfortunately, I don't feel this transaction was handled above board. 2 months after I submitted mine, I was told it wasn't recieved and that I should resubmitt it. Then, the next day, it posted as recieved a month after I mailed it. What's up with that? Then, it just sits there for another 2 months and, when I inquire again, I get some more smart assed BS telling me it'll be another month. Sorry, But I just can't find much joy in shenanigans like that.

While I still feel S&W is a good company, I can't say the same for their associates. This rebate company is pretty lame, IMHO. I'm sure my business will have little or no effect on their bottom line, but this mess has soured me enough that I don't think I'll ever purchase another new S&W product. Oh, I still think enough of their products to continue buying them, but they'll be used from now on.

My 2 magazines showed up in the mail today! Rebate mailed 2/4, showed up as received on the website on 2/12, mailed from S&W, Springfield, MA on 3/22. Website still does not show a shipped on date. Received just about 7 weeks from mailing.

You got lucky Marlin. I mailed mine in the middle of January and the website says received on February 5th. Yet still no check.

You do understand that the company who handles this does other things besides the Smith & Wesson rebate program?

I checked on the status of mine. I see they got it. I guess they'll send a check sooner or later, but I didn't buy the gun because it had a rebate.

Yes I understand that. I'm just a bit disappointed that the check hasn't made it's way here yet.

I understand that also. But if handling rebates is their specialty, shouldnt they be a little better at it? Thats like saying UPS handles more then just your package so they should have the right to take for ever to deliver it with no good reason? Really, every thing was recieved and processed a long time ago. What is so hard about printing the check and putting it in the mail? I usually dont fall for this rebate ****, but I thought with a name like S&W behind it, it wouldnt be a headache like most rebates I have dealt with in the past. And for me, the rebate DID play a big part in me buying the Sigma over something else. I bought it on sale and with rebate it was $300, about what I think its worth. For the $400 it normally retails for, I would have spent a little extra and bought something nice that did not need a trigger job just to make it decent.

Well, just to be fair, I got mine today. 12 weeks since it was submitted. Not really a problem, but they should state as much. My form says 8 to 10 weeks. 12 isn't really that much out of kilter, considering how things are, but this rebate company is still inferior, as far as I'm concerned. They pissed around with me enough that I won't ever trust a S&W rebate again. Unfortunately, they're unable to give you a straight answer, period. Shame, because that's all I was looking for in the first place. They seemed to know less than I did and that's about all they could offer. I can be as patient as Job, but I want straight answers to my questions. Nothing more, nothing less. I didn't expect them to **** a check, all I needed to know was that it was recieved and was being processed. Unfortunately, they never were able to produce anything usefull, period. This rebate company suks, plain and simple. If this is the best S&W can do, then I feel for them. Hell, I don't have a lot to do, I'll process them and give the customers accurate information. If we're waiting on funds, then we'll let you folks know that you'll have to wait for the next cycle. Geeze, is that that difficult. These companies think they're doing the right thing and saving a companies reputation, but all the deciet make the company look worse. 12 weeks was just fine with me, but it would have saved all of us a lot of grief just to say so.

At any rate, thanks S&W for giving me my money back. I 'preciate it. Now, we've been there and done that. Absolutely won't ever happen again, I'll guarantee it.

It's been well over 12 weeks (bought my Sigma in Dec.)and the 2 mags are not here yet. I called S&W today and was told that the last of the free mags for that promotion will be sent out in about a month.

Had a little package in the mail today, and surprise surprise, it's my magazines. Mailed on February 22 and received on April 12, so 7 weeks to the day of mailing. Rebate Inquiry website still says "Valid Submission Received" with no shipping date listed.

Has anyone received an e-mail from Smith &Wesson saying their rebate is on the way? I just got an e-mail from S&W saying its a shipment notification that a package is in transit to my address. Service: 2PM Weight: 0.36 Pieces: 1
The rebate is the only thing I can think it is. Unless S&W felt like sending me something.

You should have had it by now.

I think if you read through this thread, you find there is no real answer. For some it's been 3 months and still waiting. I seem to be lucky that it was only 7 weeks.

I called.....they cannot find it. They started to claim they never received it until I informed them that I sent it via USPS with delivery confirmation and have proof that they received it. Now they are going to go look for it. I am really happy that I scanned everything in first and sent reproductions versus originals. Something tells me I will be sending everything in again.

Kona, glad you finally got yours. It has been a while, hasn't it? I think both of us started looking for ours about the same time. Anyways, alls well that ends well, right?

MLK18, don't be surprised if it shows up in the system tomorrow or the next day. They told me the same thing and it showed up the very next day. I don't think they have anything better to check with than we do. I had to contact them again after it showed up and sat there for a couple of months before they sent the check. Even then, their answer was less than stellar.

This rebate company sucks, big time!!!!!!!!!!! It's in New Jersey, so it's probably Mafia. They probably figure they'll be able to keep it, if you don't bitch too awfully loud. Keep bitchin' and you'll get it sooner or later. Again, this rebate company is about as worthless as tits on a goose.

Anyways, hang in there and it'll all work out. S&W will stand behind it, if the rebate processor doesn't. As a matter of fact, they're real quick to give you the phone number to call, so it's obvious we're not alone.

They sure screwed S&W out of another sale to me, though. I had every intention of buying an M&P and dealing with another rebate, until I figured out how bogus this rebate company was. I may still buy one, but I can guarantee it'll be used. I did buy another S&W today, a CS9, and I think I'm gonna like it as well or better than I do my Sigma. Needless to say, it was used.

I finally got my two magazines yesterday. Kinda weird that they arrived in a padded brown envelope with no invoice or anything. Just the label on the outside showing where it was from.

Sent it off in early January 2010, so right around 3 1/2 months. But at least I know they have it and it's being processed. Plus now I have a screen capture to add to my delivery confirmation notice.

MLK18, it's difficult to say, however I know I felt a sense of relief when mine finally showed up in the system, since it was obvious the customer service rep was going to be of no help at all. I mailed mine on 1/5, called on 2/28 and was told to resubmit, because it hadn't been recieved. Then, mysteriously, it showed up in the system a couple of days later showing as recieved on 1/31. Then, it just sat there, until I shot them a nasty e-mail around the first of April. Again, they were of no help at all and simply told me it would be as much as 10-12 weeks after it was recieved. Again, it amazingly arrived about a week later. Kinda left me with the impression that it would still be sitting there if I hadn't gotten nasty and contacted them.

At any rate, I believe you'll see it pretty soon. At least we were able to avoid the hassle of resubmitting, right? I think mine took just about 14 weeks to arrive. I was happy to finally see it, but I'll never participate in another S&W rebate.

Mine took about 8 days after it was posted as mailed. Seems just about everything concerning this rebate company is slow as mollasses. Not to worry, though, because you should see it very soon. Don't mistake it for junk mail, though. It comes as a tear away post card and doesn't even look like a check after it's opened. My bank didn't seem to mind, but it was pretty cheezey and blurred. I'll put it like this, I wouldn't have cashed it for a friend.

it appears as if smith and wesson is handling my rebate personally. I emailed s&w customer service with a copy of my receipt last night at 8pm. This morning at 8am eastern I got an email with a tracking number for an overnight delivery package.

yay for s&w

I heard that anyone raising a stink about mags and money were getting bumped to the back of the line.Seems this could be true,my money came in about six weeks.

You may be right, but I was not bumped to the back of the line - I fell off the line and landed on the floor behind a desk. After I called then suddenly they found me and put me back in line. So I will take the back of the line over not being in line at all.

Still listed as valid submission received but no other info.

Funny! That's what this sorry assed rebate company told me when I questioned their response. If S&W would fire this ****** company and hire a decent one, this stupid thread wouldn't even exist. Until they do, this worthless excuse for a rebate processor surely makes S&W look pretty bad. I've always maintained that incompetence bleeds down from the top. Someone at S&W should find out who's sister-in-law was hired for this processing and fire their sorry ***, along with the rest of their sorry assed family. This rebate company surely sucks, but it's starting to look like S&W sucks about as bad. I know for a fact that it's hurting them. Sure hope some of the swinging dicks at S&W are smart enough to figure it out.

You know, it's somewhat understandable that a problem with magazine production might exist for a short period of time, but I'd like someone to explain why it's so difficult to return my cash to me. This rebate program is a joke and should be halted until someone figures out how to run it properly.

I'm starting to wonder what is going on. According to the rebate website, they mail my rebate check on 4/12. As of today, I still don't have it.

Looks like I'll be making a call on Monday....

I think it is a great offer. It's a simple bonus of either valuable mags or $50. Patience is the key here. When it arrives in the mail it's a done deal. To get totally pissed over a lousy $50 that hasen't showed up yet, is stress that I don't need. Like it's a lifechanging amount of money.

mlk18, you made my day! LOL!

The blue trailer on top of the orange one is where they process the rebates for "The Chosen Ones"; they have 2 employees in that trailer.

Po folk like me get the part time employee in the orange trailer. She takes care of the sigma owners. LOL!

Site shows they mailed my rebate on April 12. Twelve days later, nothing. The usps has never taken this long to deliver a letter. I have a feeling their info isnt to accurate. I know its just a $50 dollar rebate. But to me, it shows how little S&W cares about their customers. Funny thing is they roped me in with the rebate offer, but also lost me as a loyal customer because of the rebate offer. I planned on purchasing a sigma 40 to go with my 9mm, but without factoring the rebate(wont go through this headache again), it was $400 or $350 if I wait until they are on sale again. For $100 more I got a armscor 1911 tactical 45. No rebate, no waiting for a sale. I didnt think my Sigma trigger was that bad after polishing trigger parts and firing 500 rounds. But after firing my 1911 and a half dozen other handguns(friends, cousins and uncles), I can say its not that great either. Still a nice handgun for HD which is what I bought it for. But not as fun at the range as most other handguns.
