Default Welcome to the Sigma Auto Section!

As you can see, we have added a sub-forum for all series of the Sigma Auto pistols.

We have observed that the traffic here about the Sigma's and the M&P Autos is overshadowing discussion of the older S&W autos.
We forsee an ever increasing amount of discussion traffic for this series as more and more versions and more aftermarket products appear.
We believe a sub-forum for all the generations of the Sigma series and a sub-forum for the M&P Autos will enhance smooth discussion for all types of S&W Autos.

Should definitely make it easier for people who are specifically looking for Sigma information. Glad to see the sticky's remained as well.

Congrats to you ..... for your growing forum!

Changes are good sometimes. Folks want to travel with ease through the clicks of their mouse on a forum. User friendly keeps folks posting more. That's what I think it's all about.

Keep up the hard work. We all appreciate it!

Probably just me, but I can't seem to find the post for replacement of the front sight with a Glock. The fellow was going to try to get to the range for a test report this weekend.

If it didn't have "sigma" in the title, it probably didn't get moved. If so, it will still be in the auto section. If you click "report this post" once you find it, we will move it here, same with any other posts that didn't make the move.

Great idea. I really haven't seen that much on me old 469 lately, but have read a lot about my new Sigma. The M&P inclusion is welcomed also; I'm sure it is going to steadily gain in popularity as more LE Depts go to it as a duty weapon (the list of Departments IS growing daily). Cheers all 'round. Good on ya!

newbie here!!
I recently bought my sigma (.40) from Larry's in Huntsville and love it! It was used and had maybe 100 rounds at most through it. Came with a light and laser, 2 mags for $230. I am attempting to get the rebate (doubtful) which puts me at $180 well spent bucks....thats if'y.
The trigger pull is good to me. Had 1 FTL at the range due to a new mag. Other than that performs great! can't wait to shoot it again!!

This Sigma sub-forum is a great idea. Many people go to Internet Forums because they're looking for specific info, and they're in a hurry!

S&W had made a lot of different models over the years, and people looking for Sigma-specific info don't have to sort through 200+ posts concerning other models.

Default Just saying hello

New to the forum and I am looking forward to learning more about the Sigma. My son has the 40VE and after shooting his at the range I went out an bought the 9VE. I have been shooting double action revolvers most of my life so the trigger pull is not a real problem for me. It is a bit of a long pull but that will take some getting used to. I have put about 400 rounds down range and I am noticing that I am shooting low about 2 - 3" and I am sure that it has everything to do with the way I am pulling the trigger, so I am working on that. I noticed that breathing correctly seems to help when I am firing off a series of quick rounds (4-5). Rear sight adjustment (or the lack thereof) I guess if I had to complain would be my biggest complaint but I can get over that. all in all I am real happy with my new Sigma.

Jppezz23-I have about 400 rounds through my SW9VE. Trigger seems fine to me. Can only get better from here. Great news!

I have a Sigma SW40F from 1994. I never did see what all the complaining about them was. Except for a stiff trigger that has no feel it is fine, both reliable and accurate. It has never needed anything except cleaning and oil.
HOWEVER, I would like to improve the trigger. I would mostly like it to be lighter, but would appreciate any other suggestions.

I'm a newbie, and I was looking for all the info I could find on SD. So I like the way you have it. I do look at the other parts too. Some good reading on here.
