Default Traveling companion

I was packing up this evening for another work trip. Because I work for my state's outdoor resources department I wind up in some fairly gnarley places often working late into or through the night. The last thing I placed in my travel kit was my trusty Sigma SW9VE. Regardless of what the Sigma haters have to say about it being a Glock clone, or that the trigger makes it impossible to shoot accurately, I know my Sigma will 4-F (feed, function, and fire, flawlessly) no matter what the conditions.

I am confident that it is capable of protecting me and my team. Could I really ask for more?

That's what it all boils down to.
Does it do the job.

Me, I had to go with a .40 cause they didn't make a .45

I could have taken my SW40VE but it was further in the back of the safe. Either way I have total confidence!

If I had both in the safe; I'd take the .40 I trust it more to end an engagement quickly.

I must say bitstream, I agree.
One .40 S&W round would do a better job stopping a BG than one 9mm.
You figure in my 9VE's 16 other 9mm rounds, I'm not the least bit concerned!
Out & about I wouldn't have but two spare mags with me, but at home I would have 4 more mags to back up the first for a total of 80 rds!!
If I can't stop'em with the first 79, I might keep the 80th one for me!!

Tslepebull I hope the Sigma is just there for piece of mind & you have no need to dust if off!!

Have a safe trip!!

Wink

Financially Feasible Forty

I couldn't resist the sale price and rebate offer and ran down to my local Gander Mountain last night. They have to have it shipped in from another store, but in a few days I should have it in hand.

I usually find that the firearms others dis are ones I'll buy.

Had a Hi Point that worked like a Swiss (umm) sledge hammer and wouldn't hiccup in I guess seven hundred rounds. I've got a Heritage SA 22lr that hits the range EVERY time I go and is beyond fun. My Rossi .38 snubby is great and my wife has laid claim to it.

Of course my "SWock" is always near to hand and so far has been one hundred percent reliable
