Night sights
Has anyone installed night sights on their Sigma? I've noticed that after drawing and holstering my Sigma, the plastic front sight is wearing down. I'd like to put some after market metal sights on mine so I don't have to worry about losing the front one.

I just ordered a set of Meprolights (ML12740) for my 9VE from a dealer on Ebay for $77 shipped. Hopefully they'll actually have them in stock so I can install them some time next week.
ETA: Paid for them at 9:45 this morning and have already received a shipping notice and tracking number (4:15 pm)

Might want to look into getting a holster that has a sight tunnel. Whether you put night sights or not on it, this is still going to be a factor.
I put a Glock fiber optic front sight on my SW40VE after the front sight fell off, but have yet to shoot it with the change, should be going out this weekend.

I think switching to a set of aftermarket (metal) sights will pretty much eliminate the OP's problem without changing holsters. It would take a lot of drawing and reholstering to wear down a metal front sight.

My holster does have a sight channel. I just want to get away from the plastic sight.
I saw the Meprolight sights on Ebay. I might have to give them a try also. That's the best price I've seen on aftermarket night sights for the Sigma.

Would these also fit my 40VE? I admit I've been look at Mepro's but kinda confused as to which part# to order.

I'm going a different route. I found a great deal on a new Tasco Optima 2000. I should get the mount in the mail tomorrow. I am looking forward to getting it installed and hitting the range.

This is the best one that I have on hand:
Other pictures can be found in this thread:

This is what it looks like in the daytime:
Here is another picture with the lights turned down. The picture of the rear sight is fairly representative of reality:
