Default should I keep my sigma .380

I have a sigma .380 serial number RAA2xxx. Probably has around 500 rounds through it. It bounced around in a tool box for awhile and there are several small dings on the edges of the slide. a few scratches also. I have the original box, manual and two extra magazines. A friend has offed me $100 for it. I paid $300 a few years ago, before the dings.

I also have a Kahr PM9. It appears to be pretty comparable (except for the caliber) in size, weight, height, length, width.

So the first question is should I keep the Sigma?

And secondly what is it worth?

I have sold a lot of guns when it seemed like a good idea at the time and most, but not all, of the time I later regretted it.

any ideas?

Does it actually work? If so, your friend's offer is pretty far below retail market value (which I'd guess is probably around $250, retail ($100 is probably what you'd be able to sell it to a shop for), but I'd like to see photos to confirm my understanding of the condition description).

Hell, for $100, if he's a friend, just give it to him. Or keep it if you have any use for it: we have no idea how many guns you have or whether you have a use for it. You'd be able to sell it to another citizen for $250, though. For that little money these days, it's hard to imagine that you can't either just find a use for it or else know someone who'd appreciate it as a gift.

It seems to work fine. right after I got it I put maybe 500 rounds through it. And then it just bounced around in the tool box for a couple of years. and I didn't realize it was getting dinged.

I have a few other guns, many J frame revolvers. I bought the sigma thinking it would conceal in my jeans front pocket, which it does but the weight sags the pocket more than I would like. and it prints. and if I use a pocket holster it really fills up my pocket and looks like I have a bulging wallet in my front pocket. But the PM9 does the same.

I will try to post a picture.

hope fully these pictures will show up. most of the dings are along the top edge of the slide where the top meets the side.
thanks.

The SW380 was a great pistol in terms of concealability and weight. I would have the slide Duracoat-ed (the original slide finish was **** anyway), install a fresh recoil spring and use it for what you originally bought it for - a pocket pistol.

From your description, I expected much worse but after seeing the pictures I believe you will regret selling it for $100. If you really have no use for it, I think $150 would be more appropriate - even to a friend.

I've seen two of these crack the frame at the rear pins; the last one about five months ago, while I was shooting it. Both these guns were typically only shot at Department qualifications, twice a year, which amounts to about 50-100 rounds each time. Personally, I'd move it and get something a little more durable.
