SW40VE with Newly Installed Trijicon Night Sights

My Christmas gift from the in-laws this year was a set of Trijicon night sights for my .40 Sigma. I had them installed at the local gunsmith yesterday afternoon and so far I'm very pleased with them. Can't wait to try them out at the range in the near future. Just thought I'd share some photos. :)

Please let us know if the pistol zeroes vertically with the new sights, with the bullet weight you are using.

Nice sights.

Nice. I've been looking into slapping on night sights on my pistols.

Nice sights.

Thanks! Unfortunately I wasn't able to truly test out how the shot placement is with the new sights because the gunsmith who installed them apparantly didn't put any lock-tight on the front sight. Needless to say, it only took a few shots before I was searching all over the floor for my very small front sight.

I did find it after a while and my wife graciously shared her PK380 with me so the trip to the range wasn't a complete loss. I ended up taking the pistol to the place I should have taken it to in the first place and had the front sight re-installed.

I'll report back on shot placement after my next shooting trip.

I think there's another term for a fella who'd charge you to install sights that become airborne on the first magazine...

I agree. That's the last time any of my firearms will be taken there.

Haven't been to the range yet, but I decided to compare the old factory sights with the Trijicon sights. The front sight is the exact same height as the factory site and the dot is in the same place. The only difference I can see is that the Trijicon sight is a bit longer than the factory sight.

The rear sight are the same height as well with the primary difference being the dots which are further apart on the Trijicon sight.
