SD in .45 acp?
Who would like to see an SD.45 acp? I contacted S&W customer service to see if they had any plans in making a .45 and they have not heard of anything as of yet. maybe if enough of us email them with such a request perhaps they would make it.

Id think the long trigger pull and recoil of the .45 wouldn't work all that well.

SD in .45acp
It must work or else Smith and Wesson would not be making it in the version of the Smith & Wesson M&P 45acp compact. I think a SD45 would be great! the looks of a M&P .45, with the feel of the SD - I think they would sell very well considering the SD's sell for about $100.00 less than the M&P's. Count me in for buying one.

So how exactly does the long trigger pull affect anything?

at least my sigma has a horrible reset and a very long trigger pull which would make follow up shots a little harder

So why would it make any more of a detractor on a 45 over your 40 or 9mm? Not to mention the fact that the SD trigger is a world better than a sigma trigger.

Honestly the SD trigger feels a little better but that is it, as light as teh sigma is id think recoil would be a huge problem also with the .45 they would have to completely redesign the frame to handle to added force of the .45

Sigma trigger = 12lb, brand new SD trigger with no rds down the pipe 7.5lb. Hmmmmm a 12 lb trigger is NOT light.

I don't think that the SD (or the Sigma) would come with a .45 due to the lack of sales it would produce.

Along with building a brand new frame that would be larger than the 9mm/.40

not really size issue its more about added pressures and stress placed on the handgun
