Default Fobus HK1 holster

I just got my HK1 holster in the mail. i know many of you have this hoslter or have atleast tried it. my question is did anyone else experience some scratches in the finish on the stainless slide? is it suppose to be THAT tight? is there anything i can do to make it fit better without it messing up the finish?

It depends on how tight you like your holster to be which is another reason I went with Fobus. Its a gun who cares what it looks like. My daily carry is beyond beat to hell because I carry it every day.

My sigma has been residing in that same holster for over two months now including more draws than I can remember. As a result, I haven’t noticed any scratches to the slide. When I first got the holster it was a little tight so I sprayed the inside with silicon and wiped it down. That may have helped prevent scratching. You may want to remove any seems, imperfections or high spots that may have occurred during the molding process.

The first gun I bought was a Hi-Point C9 and I picked up the Fobus holster for it. After a week I realized the gun wasn't going to work so I traded it back toward a Sigma. Now I hated how tight the C9 fit in the Fobus, it was harder than hell to get it to come out. So I get home and stick the Sigma in the Fobus meant for the C9 and it fits beautifully. It fits tight enough that you don't get any movement or slippage in the holster yet its easy to draw. It was how I imagined the holster should've worked with the C9. So if anyone gets a chance try the Sigma in the Fobus holster meant for the Hi-Point C9.

Default FYI...another holster that fits the Sigma 9/40

I recently picked up a De Santis 086 holster for my newly acquired XD 357 Sig. To my surprise, the SW**VE guns fit PERFECTLY. In another recent topic on Sigma holsters, I recommended the Tagua holster and mentioned that it fit the 40 VE about an 8, on a 1 to 10 scale. Well, the De Santis 086 is a 10+!
Any of you out there that has a holster for an XD, you also have a perfect holster for your Sigma.

Thumbs up

I really like the HK1 Fobus for my Sigma. As was posted earlier, if you have a Fobus holster that seems too "tight", get some Armor-all and a rag. Lightly wipe down the inside of the holster, wiping off excess (you don't want it "wet"). You will be surprised by the difference!
