all i hear about the sigma messing up is the striker breaking so whats the most common ways for the striker to break ? the tip or the part that hooks on the sear

i havent heard of all that many strikers breaking. Its a piece of metal it could break but what are you thinking would cause the striker in the sigma to break more so than on another pistol?

Are you sure your not thinking of HiPoints they use the striker to eject the case which does cause them to bend and break sometimes?

let me rephrase it what i meant was the only thing i find about the sigma messing up was a few broken strikers( not enough to be a problem really) and was wondering what way they broke as in the tip breakin or the part that meets the sear ?

and i use to own a hi point it was a good gun just the mags was poorly made

The only thing I have heard about Sigmas early models is the frame breaking I have almost 1000 through mine and the only concern I have is the small pig tail sear spring wearing a grove in the plastic sear which might cause it to break.

I have several HiPoints as well the make great truck guns all of mine ran perfect after you cleaned up the ramp.

Most of what I remember reading is that the 'chisel' tip was prone to breaking. I think they changed the design of the tip.

Where is an expert when you need them?

I have a new 9VE that I have put well over a 1000 rounds thru it without one problem. I am so confident in it, that is now my SD carry weapon.
