Sigma/SD slide lock lever question
Has anyone ever compared the slide lock lever (the little tabs used for take down, not the slide stop) on the Sigma and/or SD pistols, to the lever used on Glocks? I wonder if they are interchangeable.
There are extended slide lock levers available for Glocks...so far, I haven't seen any available for the Sigma/SD pistols. So, I was wondering if a Glock one would work, since there was that issue/lawsuit over the Sigma copying Glocks.
I can take down the SD9 okay, but having a little extra length would be good. (My wife says the same thing...isn't it nice that she worries about my pistol?)

I have used a Glock take down lever on my SD40 while it's original part was at Robar being NP3 finished. As to extended parts, that I do not know. I hope that helps. It was an exact fit, and I fired it about 75 rounds worth and there were no problems.

Thanks, that's good to know. If the stock slide lock for a Glock works in a SD, then I assume the extended slide lock would as well, since it has to work in the same way, it's just longer.
BTW, I saw some stainless slide locks for Glocks (I've tried to write this several ways, but it all comes out rhyming) online when I was looking for extended slide locks.

Extended slide lock lever in Sigma 9VE
Ordered one from Brownells (search for Extended Slide Lock Lever), put it in and works like the original part except easier to operate the extended lever. The original was near impossible for me to depress and hold.
FWIW - the lever is from Lone Wolf Distributors.

Kenny: The slide lock for the sigma USED to interchange (as did, at one time, the slide) with the Glock. So, with a grain of salt, the one for the Glock SHOULD still work, I know it does for my SD/Glock.

Sigma/Glock slide
Back when Sigma first came out, they would not only use the same barrel, slide lock but also the coomplete upper would slide off the sigma and go on the Glock. Looked kind of like an SD does now. Of course, when Glock sued Smith & Wesson, that went away. So, if you can find a 20 year old Sigma, you might still be able to do it.
