Recently picked up a clean 6906 at LGS..often fails to go into battery with UMC[Remington generic] 115 gr..WW white box 115 gr loads fine out of all five (5) mags.

I had throughly cleaned my new purchase before first range trip and cleaned after..problem both trips...feed ramp looks good, chamber and bore clean. CLP lightly lubed..rails, locking lug and and end of barrel/bushing.

I've seen several folks inquiring about 6906 battery issues and the solution might be to use just WW but I want 100% reliability, well almost, and want to move to Ranger T +P for CC use.

Pistol shoots to POA and the occasional failure to go into battery would be a minor annoyance in a non CC pistol.

Whats conventional wisdom here?

Seems that the UMC ammo is the only problem.

Find your preferred CC ammo and run 500 rounds through the pistol to be sure that it functions with that ammo. Then clean the weapon and carry with that ammo.

Not uncommon for a low-cost practice ammo to have problems cycling an auto, especially if the gun has not been fired much and "broken in".
