Default Sigma striker

Broke my striker in my Sigma and I can't find one anywhere. S&W wants the gun to install a new one but I don't want to send it to them. Is there any available aftermarket? I checked the majors (Midway, etc).

BTW hello, new member here. I carry an M&P 40c and use the Sigma as a backup in the house and as a hobby gun to learn some gunsmith skills.

I've broken my SW40VE striker twice now. Each time I've had to send the gun back to S&W because there aren't any Sigma strikers in the market place...either OEM or aftermarket. Why are you so opposed to sending it back to S&W? Are you afraid it's stolen or something? Package it up, send it in & tell them to work on the trigger while they have it. That's what I did. The trigger is smoother now but is still the lovable 12 lbs. it's always been. Just saying...

Not afraid, I just did not want to send it away. Like I said, it's a hobby gun and I wanted to do the work myself. If this is the only option I have no choice but to send it in. Thanks for the reply.

Is this a design flaw? My Glocks are dry fired as intended, should the Sigmas no be?

Thanks,

-Coop

This does not seem to be a design flaw, but maybe some flawed strikers that just break. I have not heard that dry firing causes the striker to break. My SW40F striker broke after hitting a primer. Nothing special, just one of many, I guess.

I broke a striker while dry firing with about 100 rounds fired. I sent it to s&w and it was returned quickly with no charges.

Any gunsmith or FFL should be able order the striker.
