I would like to know if anyone has or could tell me about different aftermarket sights that would be good for the sd 40 front and back. Im having issues with the sights that is on the sd 40 I have also read on hear that the target must be covered etc. Today while shooting the fiber optic out of the front acctualy had came out now there is a hole in the front sight so that is now why im just coming to the conclusion to jus go ahead and redue the iron sights...would the m&p 40 sights work on the sd 40? thanks for any and all help
M&P and SD sights are fully interchangeable. I use Warren Tactical rear sights on all of my M&P's and already have one on order for my SD9. I much prefer the plain black rear sight with a tritium front, but I don't use F/O. Instead I go with the Ameriglo ProGlo tritium front with the orange or green ring. This is a pretty similar set up to how I have all of my M&P's right now.

Is there a difference in the elavation with the rear sights
Nope. I have used 10-8 Performance, Ameriglo, Warren Tactical and stock S&W sights (front and rear) interchangeably. They have always shot to POA for me. I am using the front sight in that photo but not the rear. For the rear I use Warren Tactical but also with the single tritium dot (although it does look similar to the one in the photo).
