With the exception of the base pad, the SD9 and SW9VE magazines are the same thing. But I prefer the SD9 base pads and the mags cost about the same (new).

I just looked at S&Ws store and they don't list a 16-rd Sigma mag- so if we want the 16-rd mag for an SD it would have to be an SD mag, right?

Product: SW9C Sigma Series Stainless Steel Magazine-16 RD

http://www.thegunsource.com/item/491..._9MM_16RD.aspx

looks like a Sigma 9mm 16rd mag will work. I need/want 15rd mags for my 40VE.

THat's weird, I went to S&W store, clicked on magazines, 9mm mags, and there was no 16-rd Sigma mag- and that doesn't look like my SD mag.

You got the SD mag for 434? Good deal...
New subject sorta- it has to do with parts, anyway- just called S&W cause my SD9 tritium vial is dead- again- was told they are sending me one but it's on BACK ORDER. Man, wish I had stock in some of these gun manufacturers.

nick, best way to find out is go to the S&W website, go to The Store, and check it out. Once you see if they have em or not, you can check with Midway, Cheaperthandirt etc to see if you can get a better deal. But not many places are carrying extras for SD stuff yet, far as I can tell.

I just listed some magazines in the classified section for the Sigma, SW9F, SW9VE, and SD9 pistols if anyone is interested. Original factory 17 rounders.
