Default Slide Rust Removal

Its that humid time of year and my slide has a slight hint of small rust spots appearing on it. It's very minor but enough to where I need to use a mild abrasive. Whats a good light abrasive to use on the Sigma slide? Brillo pad and some Remoil mabe??

I'm asking first before I scratch it up using the wrong thing

I use 0000 steel wool myself, living in south Texas it gets pretty humid. I oil all my guns once a month then place them in a old sock that has a light film of oil on it as well. Haven't had any problems with rust since doing this. The worst thing to do is store them in a plastic or soft case, they will rust right up on you.
