Smile SD9VE

Just looked at a new SD9VE at my local shop yesterday...329 plus tax. Feels good in hand, light like the sigma,8lb. trigger no problem.I think on payday my sigma might have a partner for CCW...any shots fired info appreciated.I looked at (and have shot XD's,Glocks, etc.)but that feel of the sigma/SD series and sight to target acquisition is just right for me. Plus,I like the stiffer trigger pull as I have no problems at combat/defense ranges, especially for CCW.

Good choice I have to say I own Glocks and love them, but I bought the SD9 and absolutely love this gun. The trigger is not hard like some may think. I it smoother than my glocks and just a tad heavier. The smoothness makes up for the feel and I have to say I like the trigger better on the sd. Now I know the new ve had plastic sights but those can be changed and as for the stainless nothing wrong with that set up I have owned numerous guns in stainless steel. This gun is a bargain for what your getting. I paid more for mine, it came with nano vault a darker finish but I could have lived without the night sight. My trigger has smoothed out to about 7 lbs which in a handgun for carry or work is really perfect. I am so glad that S&W re-thought the SD and brought it back. I wrote an e-mail to them when I bought my SD and told them this is a working mans gun no frills and good looking to boot. Told them this is an excellent police and security pistol and priced right. I like this gun that much, so go for it.

Thanks for the info cocojo...I have owned Glocks and XD's in the past...like you,I like Glocks fine, used to shoot in the "GSSF" whichis an outstanding organization for any grade of shooters. The XD'S I've shot had hair triggers,(thank goodness for the grip saftey) not the kind of trigger I want for CCW stress factor. I really don't care if nite sights are there or not as "state of the art" flaslights now come in all shapes and sizes and as far as I'm concerned are as vital as a cell phone for all intended purposes. Think I'm going to enjoy that SDVE come payday next week!!!
