Default Any opinions or experience on the Foxx "Trapp" holster?

I have been looking for an ITW holster that will A) be safe and be able to really conceal the pistol and B) not cost me an arm and a leg. ($50 - $60 range but closer to $50 )

I looked at the Versacarry system but can't seem to get over the lack of a true trigger guard. My SD9VE may have a 6.5lbs pull but I still don't trust that option.

I came across the Foxx Trapp Holster and love it from the price to the look and how well it seems to conceal whatever weapon it carries but I was hoping someone one here had some experience with one.

I am a day or two away from making a purchase so any information would be appreciated.

Thanks!

Looks like a CrossBreed. Costs less, but is it cheaper (i.e. lower quality), or a better value? I don't know. You spend your money and you take your chances. I have several Crossbreeds for different pistols, and find them to be of excellent quality, comfortable, concelable, and have a a great guarantee (won't go into details, but it was my fault) they repaired and upgraded to new clips at no cost. Great outfit, and no, I'm in no way associated with Crossbreed, other than a satisfied customer.

Foxx provides a lifetime warranty if anything goes wrong with any of their holsters which is another reason I'm looking at them.

The "Trapp" holster is made from .060 Kydex with a strong J-hook belt clip. I have yet to come across a bad review and the video's I have been able to find seem to show an excellent product.

For $44 shipped, it seems like an excellent deal but again, so do a lot things out there which is why I'm looking to more experienced shooters and carriers on here for some advice.

Thanks for the info Marlin.357!

A side-by-side compairison with a Crossbreed would be useful if you can find one, IMHO the Crossbreed is the "gold standard" of that style of holster.

Give Old Faithful Holsters a look, they have kits from $28 and up, 30 day you try money back keep the holster and a 50 yr warranty. I can't personally report on these but they looked like they might be a good deal.

I actually just purchased the "Trapp" from Foxx Holsters for my SD9VE. I hope to receive it in a couple of days and will give it a quick review.

Thanks for the feedback guys!

I have their little fox for my CW9. Excellent price. Excellent holster. Easier off and on than the crossbreed style. They make them for the SD series pistols also.

I bought the Foxx hybrid with the two belt hooks for my SD9VE and it has been great. I have no complaints at all about it. Upgrade to the Kydex clips, they work a little better. They have free shipping and get it to you fast.

It is a tough search for exactly the right holster. Which model are you looking at?
Kydex "Trapp" Holster

I'm in the process of looking too for my M&P .40 FS. I'm looking for one for OWB and one for IWB. I think I want leather for OWB.

IWB not sure.

Be careful with some of the Hybrids. Reason is they flatten out when the gun is drawn. Here is a picture of a AlienGear (exactly like Old Faithful and Crossbreed and others). The ones like Crossbreed might have a better chance as the shell is attached directly to the leather rather than on adjustable stand-offs. This is another member on this forum.

I'm trying to find/make a unit with a full wrap-around-the-gun style (like the Kydex, Blade-Tech, Crossbreed and others) that can be used IWB without crushing from belt pressure. Most of the ones available are just the outer shell and won't hold the pressure.

The search continues...links to most mfgs.

Have been using the Foxx for my EDC, Shield for the better
part of 8 months now. Very comfortable. Foxx is in the area where I live and work and I had the advantage of going there
to see them first hand. Here in Michigan, it has been sweater weather for the last 4 months and the gun just disappears.
It was a great, economical choice.

Old Faithful and AlienGear are "Exactly" alike. They come from the same mold.

I just got an AlienGear Friday 2/21. It is pretty awesome. The image I posted above may not be totally accurate as the forum member remarked about how tight his belt was. I haven't had mine long enough to offer an opinion.

I'm doing a assessment of it and will post when complete.

Little Foxx - certainly looks compact, clean and simple.

Smile Foxx Holster

I have had my little foxx IWB for my Kahr C/M 9 for a couple of years and I love it. Very compact and comfortable at the 4 o'clock position for me.
