I see a lot of stuff for the SW9/40 floating around here, but not too much about the SD9/40VE. I guess because they are newer? I love my new SD40, but at the same time it leaves a little to be desired. The trigger is a little gritty and has an obnoxiously long/heavy pull. No mechanical problems until I used PMC and I was getting a constant failure to feed on the last round of each magazine. One failure to eject when using Tula 40, but thats just Tula...

Are there any upgrades other than the Apex spring kit? Any "free" mods? What about silencing magazine rattle? If there's anything I can do to get this gun up and going would be awesome. Does anyone know if I can just get a 9mm barrel and mags if it would work or would I need a whole new slide?

Really not much out there right now that I've found. Though with research you will find some parts for the SD (non -VE) and M&P line will work with them. Best of luck. In in the same boat.

I assume parts like sights, recoil guide rod and spring will work, but what else?

Rail Accessories such as Chrimson trace laser/light should work. IIRC slides between SD and VE series are interchangeable along with the barrels. Iron sights and most holsters.

I posted my SD40VE rattle fix in the Sigma / SD forum last night. I'm still testing it but so far it's been 100%. My apex trigger kit arrived today but I won't be able to get around to it until Monday.
