Picked up a sd40ve today. After getting it home and looking at the test case from the factory I noticed it has a "Glock bulge". My question is if the test round is a standard round or are they hotter than normal? It appears that the chamber is slightly out of round. That is it has a littled more space in the chamber up and down than side to side. Do others have this also? I also have had a Taurus PT100AF for 16 years and have never had a bulge this noticeable. I would like to reload the cases but am hesitant. I will go out back and fire a couple rounds thru it tomorrow.
I was surprised to see the bulge as the sd40ve has a fully supported chamber.
Last question, will the magazine spring loosen up over time? Was very hard to get the last round ing the mag.
Don't get me wrong it looks to be well built and designed, I also has a 59 and 669
Any and all thoughts are greatly welcomed.
