where to find SW9VE front sight measurements?
Hi,
I have lost the front sight for my sigma sw9ve, and need to make new one, similar to original. Problem of course that I can not take measurements from original front sight because I've lost it.
Do you know where to find all front sight measurements?
Maybe sw9ve owners can take measurements from original front sight?
I need height, width and length of every edge of the sight (similar to triangle).
Many thanks!

Unfortunately, S&W considers this a factory install only part. Are you unable to send the pistol to them?

I put a Hi-Viz fiber optic sight on my SD9VE , much more visible and not that expensive. Old sight came out hard, new sight slid right in , had to locktite it in

Thanks! Pistol is in Europe and sending to factory repair is not efficient only for front sight repair, it takes lots of time, I would like to make a sight copy, but I have no measurements.

Has the M&P front sight the same dimensions like original SW9VE?

Maybe you should use this as an opportunity to install night sights. Are they available in your area?
It's a bit sad that S&W makes it so difficult to obtain an easily replaceable $3 part.

The front sight is inexpensive -- but cannot be exported from the US because of the ITAR rules -- explained on Brownell's web site World's Largest Supplier of Gun Parts, Gunsmith Tools & Shooting Accessories - Brownells
However, that same website show that Brownell's has web sites that service the European market, which might be a source for the OP to buy a new sight.

All, please see the OP has a SW9 not a SD9. I have a SW40 and the front site is not the same as the SW. Do not buy a site for the SD9.
I do see Midway makes replacement sites for the SW so it is replaceable. I'm not sure how to replace it. They may be screwed in from inside the slide.
