FINALLY got my SD9 VE!!!!!!
Been a long time coming, but I went ahead and got my new little girl out o that dark layway safe yesterday and brought her home. Gave her immediate TLC clean and lube. Today sat for an hour with a punch working the striker block and the striker springs, then 30 minutes of Dry Fire. Mags are loaded to 16 and sitting for a week as others have prescribed. Giddy like a little scholl kid on Christmas morning.

A very fine piece! I'm sure you will enjoy shooting it. I have the SD40ve
and it is also a fine handgun. Very easy to clean & maintain, I have over 850 rds. through mine and It is just about broke-in.

Great choice. I have over 1400 rounds through mine with no failures.

Being new to the forum and my SD9VE why do you work the striker block for an hour? Will it loosen the springs? Congrats on the new firearm! I am loving mine and I can't wait to take it back out.

It is supposed to help smooth them out a little. Kinda like firing it a bunch does, but without the expense.
