What prices are ya'll seeing?
Just wondering. What kind of prices are you guys seeing on the new sd9 & sd40ve's at your LGS? The best I've seen so far is $310.00 for either model.

$319 is the best I've seen. Another place had them @ $359. At the lower price, it's awfully tempting!

Picked mine up for $294.99 at a Local Gun Show. A LGS has them on their website for $298.99, but its through Davidson's and the SD's are still allocated on there.

Some good price that's for sure. I would have thought the SD's would have stayed in the $360 range for a while longer than they did.

My LGS has the new SDVE in 9 and 40 for $299, Sigma's are $279. If the SDVE has the better trigger it's a no brainer.

My LGS has em for $379 + tax. That is the best I seen so far. I wish I could find one cheaper I would think about getting one of these instead of a M&P.

These NIB prices are killing resale.....I have been trying forever to sell my Sigma 9VE kinda hard when you can get the improved version for under $300. To me the gun is just not worth giving up for under $250 where else can you get a perfectly functioning 16rd 9mm for that much?
Plus if I ever do sell it most likely ill just buy a SD9VE to go with my SD40

This is true. I saw one guy on anther forum trying to get $350 for a box stock sw40ve. Don't see him getting that for it. I also saw a sw"g"ve for $300 don't remember if it was a 9 or 40, but someone will snag that up quick.

Its hard to ask for $250 on a used 9VE even with 4 mags when you can get a brand new VE or SDVE for $299 NIB at Academy. But I just cant let it go for less than $250. That Sigma was the best deal I ever got on a firearm I picked it up at Academy when they were doing the 2 free mags or $50 for $279 list price. I grabbed the mags considering how expensive they are.

I don't understand the charge for a back groundcheck when buying from a LGS. Sure when a dealer does the paper work for a gun bought someplace else like Buds but when buying in shop? I have never had an extra charge in all the years I have been buying guns. Perhaps they are figuring the cost in with gun. Anyway if a dealer stuck on an extra charge to do the background check I would turn around and walk out the door.

As soon as I saw this I went to that website to try to pick one up since none of the academy stores around here have any in stock. Apparently neither does sportsmansoutdoorsuperstore. It's listed as temporarily out of stock. :-( I finally got the cash for it today and can't find one anywhere! It's so frustrating!

I checked all the Academy stores in my area (4) and they were all gone.
I bet that when they are back in stock the price will be higher. Any gun with a magazine capacity greater than ten is going to cost more now.

I finally got mine from academy this morning. $317 out the door. That is, after I waited about an hour because the FBI system was down from being overloaded with people trying to get background checks.

Yeah, I'm having flashbacks to a few years ago. No ammo to be found and what did hit the shelf was gone in an hour. A box of 9mm Blazer aluminum was going for $19.99. On December 31st 2012 my local gun store had it on sale for $8.99. That's gone. I hate to see everyone in a panic and freaking out, we do it to ourselves. There is a handgun I was looking at buying over the past month that was $389 (everyday price) and now after the new year it's $429. I guess the gun store made my mind up for me. I'm not just going to give them my hard earned money so they can make more profit. Maybe things will calm down in a year or two like before.

I got the FFL transfer (from another place) did a background check which was answering a lot of computer questions and the check itself was all online which amounted to pushing a computer key. All for $20. Tacking on charges is tacky and I'd be P.O.d too.

There are none local in my part of NC. Cheapest I could find the SD40 was Bud's for $369 with free shipping. I was looking at a Sig P250 and Taurus .40 and they both sold out in hrs so I went ahead and reserved the SD.

I hope you're not planing on buying an SDVE for $370. I wouldn't buy anything right now. Most gun stores are price gouging big time right now. Don't let them take advantage of you. SDVE's were $289 a few weeks back.
Perfect example: one of my local stores that doesn't have much left in stock does however have a few Taurus Millennium Pro 9mm's. Now, these usually go for about $350, they have it priced at a whopping $509!!! Anyone dumb enough to pay that much......
3 weeks ago when they had glocks in stock they were only $499. Now idiots on the internet are asking $650 for used ones. Bad bad time to be making a purchase unless it is absolutely crucial that you need to buy. I'm not spending a dime on guns or ammo anytime soon, not that it's available anyway.

Bought my SD40VE yesterday for $300 plus tax. Funny thing. One gun shop has the pistols but no ammo. Across town the guy has ammo but has a waiting list for the pistols.

The SD40VE I just bought I paid $330 + $20 shipping.
When I checke Academy Sports website recently they were listing them at $299.
Once everything settles down a bit if S&W ever runs another rebate deal like they sometimes did with the Sigmas (I remember those being $299 with a $50 rebate available) I may pickup the 9mm version of the gun.

My LGS takes good care of me. $350 whenever they get them in stock. Trying to gauge if anything is out there. I've only seen pictures so far.

$350 is overcharging you. Like I've said before, right now is the absolute worst time to be buying any gun. Of course there are still some places that haven't started their price gouging yet (walmart). Maybe $350 was the price last year too, I don't know about your area. In mine, they were $60 less ($289). Here in OH the gun stores are screwing people to death. Ammo has jumped from 20%-25% a box. Some handguns are well over $100 more than they were in DEC. I always keep a close eye on prices in my area and right now it makes me sick to see people getting shafted like they are. Either they are not aware of the price hike or just don't care. Actually I think there are alot of folks going out lately and making their first gun purchase. The gun stores prey on these men and women.
