SD9VE Front Slide/Frame Offset = Normal
As I was checking out my new SD9VE from the muzzle end, I noticed that there's an offset in the semi circle part of the frame that houses the slide recoil assembly. The slide is shifted to the left. My first impression was that there's a defect. However, as I checked out the 360 degree rotation pic of the gun on the SW website, it shows the same configuration. I was glad when I saw that on the website.

It's the end of the frame that's crooked.
I heated mine up with a hair dryer and bent it straight.
You have to take slide off to bend it over.
Very common in the Glock world also.

Can you explain how you fixed this? I just bought a brand new SD9 and it has this issue. Want to fix it.

It's a purely cosmetic issue that doesn't affect performance at all, so personally I wouldn't go trying to "fix" it by heating/bending the frame which could very well affect performance and most likely void the warranty in the process.

Buy an SD9/40. They're built better.

Uh... They're literally the exact same guns with different finishes and sights, that's all. There's no differences in build quality between the VE and non-VE models.

Uh............ Yes there is.
The SD9/SD40 has a more aggressive grip texture front and back. If you don't believe me check them out for yourself. SMH!
