Default traction grips from galloway precision

just curious if anyone has tried the galloway traction grips on their SD/SDVE?? I have both a the hogue/pachmayr sleeve, just curious if anyone has tried the grip tape route. also when i sold my sigma and bought my 40 SDVE, i took out my stainless wolff guide rod spring and guide rod and put it in my SDVE. fits like a glove, same 4" barrel, i run it with the 15lb spring, a little lighter than the factory 17lb. Strike Industries makes this little buffer that you insert into the front of the guide rod assembly, it's made for glocks, i'm curious if it will fit into the sigma/sd line? they are only 10 bucks with free shipping, think i might give it a try. if it doesn't fit, i'll give it to someone who has a glock.

I tried them. Fit was like a generic set of stickers. Not cut to any particular shape to match the frame, so alignment was not easy. I took them off a day later because they really didn't do much to enhance the grip either, and in my opinion were just too ugly to keep on.

I bought a set of those traction grips too...very disappointed to see that they didn't fit the outlines of the frame. They didn't seem to be particularly "grippy" either, so I never put them on.

Then I bought a Pachmayr grip sleeve, and I really like it. The finger grooves and padding make the pistol feel a lot more secure in the hand, and it is so comfortable. I was concerned that it was going to make the grip too big, but it doesn't...not at all. Some people have said their sleeve twisted under recoil...I haven't noticed it so far, but if it does, I'll put a dab of silicone adhesive, or something similar, to hold it in place.

i looked in some of the previous posts and saw the gray traction stickers and how they didn't match the outlines of the grip, seems like they could have made them better with a little more effort. i also like the pachmayr grip better than the hogue, haven't had it twist either. some must really grip the sh*& out of the handle when they're shooting. i wish my m&p had the forward thumb rests like the SD does, love that feature for thumbs forward shooting grip

got mine from "Traction Grips" . com . came in 3 days. were cut very a very close match to the grips. just enough tack to stop the gun from twisting at all. the slight extra thickness was nice. Have friends that have had them on for over 1 yr. still like new. I think for $8.99 you can't beat it
