If I was going to do it all again I would go through bravo concealment
If you order from either company there will be a long wait... My friend has a holster on order from bravo concealment that has a 10-12 week lead time.
Here is a link to each website.

Bravo concealment is AMAZING!.
I ordered a OWB/IWB holster for my G22 with a TRL-2 light for a GSSF comp. Guy got back to me 3 hours later and said his turn around time was 30 days.
As the comp got closer and closer I got more worried and asked him how it was going.
He said he couldnt find his TRL2 and didnt think he could buy another for a while. I asked if I could get one without the space for the light any faster.......He dropped everything he was doing and made me a stock IWB/OWB holster without the light THAT NIGHT! Overnight shipped it and I had it the day of the competition! .
Awesome guy over at bravo. They've had my business for a LONG time.

Great Pics!
Thanks for all the pics, they seem to add a lot to the forum, at least for me.

You wanted to see a laser well here you go. But I am going back to the smaller CMR-201 because the CMR-203 Green Laser is just a little to big for me, will go back as soon as I can sell this laser.

I looked and cannot find it again, but I saw somewhere on the web a picture of a SD9VE with a black barrel that was from another S&W 9. I have to say, it looked really cool, and I wouldn't mind having one. Does anyone know what barrel it might have been?
Nothing special about mine, just put a Pachmayer Tactical Grip on it. My IWB holster is a Galco King Tuk.

are the sd series better made than the sigma series? i had a sigma back around 03' and the frame mold was all jacked up which has turned me off to the S&W ploy pistols

I cant speak for the sigma as I have only shot a sigma one time, literally one round, I have had a tendon graft on my trigger finger losing 60% of movement and the trigger on the sigma was unworkable for me. I had to use my off hand thumb to complete the trigger pull.
The SD series trigger is much lighter this is the biggest difference.
As for your questions about the frame again cant speak for the sigma but my SD40 VE seems to be a very solid firearm and I have not noticed any out of spec or too much flashing areas on it.

Having worked in a store that sold both, my experiences with the two led me to buy the SD9.

I like my Nebo, but my SD9VE is a house gun. IMO the SD is to big for a EDC, My Kahr fills that role nicely. Also, good luck finding a good CC holster that will work with the light.

Yeah, I have the CMR-201 and it fits just right.

Even though the striker is a little scuffed up I have not had any failures out of the 1600 rounds fired. I am very happy with this pistol.

I found that getting the 16th round in the mag of my SD9VE was almost impossible, until I got a speedloader from Amazon for $9.75; now it's a breeze! http://smile.amazon.com/gp/product/B...ilpage_o06_s00

Well here is what started all this. My recent purchase from Gander Mountain. Price matched plus 10% at Academy Sports. Got all of this OTD at less than $375. I have yet to shoot but plan on doing so this weekend.

I don't quite understand machining the slots in the slide. I know S&W has a version with slots but the barrel is cut to cut down flip. If you just slot the slide it seems that you will have more flip and might need a heavier recoil spring to compensate for the lighter slide.
I can see that it adds a little bling but maybe there s another reason I don't understand.

My Twin Pair SDVEs
I like the SD40VE so much that I acquired the SD9VE. :-)
20160423_182632_7_bestshot.jpg
I have no idea why this photo is upside down; it's right side up on my computer and phone.
20160423_182756_4_bestshot.jpg
20160423_183022_3_bestshot.jpg
Eventually I will polish these up so that they're easier to clean and I will add a Pachmayr grip to the SD40VE. I've already installed the Galloway stainless steel guide rod and spring (with an extra 20 lbs. of tension). Spring looks weird going in so I'm curious to know how it's going to shoot now. It's got extra weight already, which I like, so I'm encouraged.
If I can find a gunsmith with weekend hours somewhere in the San Fernando Valley, I'd be inclined to go with the Apex kit everybody keeps talking about because all this new training I'm doing is making overcoming the pull weight and long take up a bit of a hassle. When dry firing and not doing anything particularly tricky it's fine but I'm starting to wonder if I should consider making the adjustment.
Other than that, these are fine guns. Certainly for the price (here in California, about $400 ea. after taxes and fees).

SD9VE - Cerakoted black, frame was bead blasted to reduce the shiny, Apex trigger kit, polished feed ramp, 20# recoil spring, wide body take down lever, US Flag rear cover plate, mounted flash/strobe light, pachmeyer grip (will be here tomorrow). I had the Houge grip on, but the palm swell made it just a bit too wide for my hands.
