sd trigger is smoothing out

after about 400 rounds and about 300 dry fires through my sd9 and my trigger is much improved. I don't plan on doing anything but keep it. Wish I had a trigger gauge so I could quote numbers.

dry fires!!! omg! those are bad for guns!!!

mine loosened up quite a bit around the 750 round mark

Dry fires have shown to do no damage to strikers fired firearms, older guns and smallers caliber weapons have been known to have problems but those were not strikers fired firearms. I encourage dryfiring your S&W, it evovles skills that can only be attained by firing the weapon, dryfiring is safer and more cost efficient

i wasn't being serious... sarcasm doesn't type well. i actually use snap caps most of the time instead of dry firing. my skills get evolved when i go to the range out out to my brothers farm and put rounds through it :-)

yeah i am contemplating the apex trigger kit. also a steel 22lb guiderod to replace the plastic one on my sd40 ve. after that ill more than likely get some nite sights for it. then a flashlight/laser combo to mount on the front rail. ive got some big plans. this weekend i have 1000 rounds of .40 fmj stashed away to have some range fun with a few good buddies

Ive still got the m&p aek in my SD, the SD spring kit and polished parts, the ss 20lbs rod and tfo sight...now only if apex would release those mag extensions!! I wish there was a slide plate cover that was the color of the slide

yeah since my sd is still fairly new. i havent been able to put all the bells and whistles on it yet. still stock. even in stock config its a hell of a pistol for the price and still my fave. mag extensions would be great id love to add a few more rounds in my 14 rd mag lol. also i wish they had some kind of guiderod or grip laser. that would be cool. none the less i plan on tourture testing my sd this weekend with a 1000 round challenge. ive got 7 mags that will fit in it. my 2 plus a friends 40 cal sigma mags. going to rapid fire all 7 mags and hope it wont FTF or jam up while chambering. we will see and ill give a detailed report on my findings and let you guys know of any issues

I have the original black SD9, and it's over a year old now. I don't know how many rounds it has fired, but it has also been dry fired quite a bit. I'm not sure I can say that is has smoothed out, or even changed in any way. I can't say it was rough or gritty to begin with.

I can say that practice, while always important, is especially needed with this gun in order to shoot it accurately.

I have two, the original all black SD9 and one of the newer SD9VE's. The VE has always had a better trigger, but both have improved considerably with use. I probably have 300-400 rounds through each one. I love these things, gotta be the best value in a handgun today.

Pretty sure they are. Other than the finish and the sights, they should be the same.
