Night sights
For those of you who have put night sights on your SDVE, what are you using? Pros and cons?
I'm looking at getting some night sights for my SD9VE. I'm not a fan of fiber optic sights.

I have had night sights on a few guns for at least twenty years. My Glock and more recently an, XS Big Dot on my 60-9. If you're going to be in any low light situations, I recommend them. The other brands I have used are, Meprolight and Trijicon.

TFO. They seem effective and are at an attractive price point. And their quality seems to be excellent.

The only kind of "true" night sights I've ever used have been Trijicon. I've also had a set of those sights where you have to shine a light on them to make them luminescent, but that isn't what I'd call a true night sight.
I am interested in the XS Big Dot sight. As I get older (some rude people might say I'm already there) that honking big front sight seems like it would help acquire a target.

When I sent my 60-9 in to Robar, among a couple other things, I had them put the Big Dot on the front sight as I mentioned. I couldn't be happier. Rapid target acquisition. It's like making an exclamation point. You wont be disappointed.

I put the Truglo on my 9 and they are very, very bright at night since they have tritium inserts. The only thing that I have to say about them is that they don't have a white ring around the insert so it's almost as if you are using blacked out sights during daylight hours.

I am using Ameriglo however, What ever brand you go with get a green front and get the rear in a different color. It is worth it.
