Default Shooting Range Birthday party

My birthday is in a week, and when my wife asked what I wanted to do, and I said to have a few friends go with me to the range. She bought my pistol for me for Christmas.
Well the party is tomorrow, and we have the whole range to ourselves from 1pm to 3pm, and 40 people have said they will be there weather permitting. I am super stoked. Thats a good wife there.

Thanks. I retired from stock car racing, and needed a new interest. I have a lot of friends who hunt, and have guns. I know it can be expensive but so was racing. I have so much to learn, but I am enjoying it. I will be 46 and it is weird having to learn about something I should know about already. I grew up in the country, town, and lost all that when i got married many years ago,

Happy Birthday! And Congrats on that wife of yours!

Enjoy yourself and have fun. It's never too late to learn something new. And my nephew races/builds cars for himself and other owners-yeah it's EXPENSIVE!!

Cost of things is relative. I got into shooting after 35 years in aviation.

Shooting is CHEAP!!! Happy birthday!

Ha. I should of said Early retirement from stock cars, due to health issues and lack of funding, and it just wasn't fun anymore. I had been driving since I was 18 and it was a blast. But had some hardships along the way. I still have a job to go to , but It is as a shop foreman for a school district, and work 6am to 2:30pm. Not big money but can officially retire at 60. I would of been able to sooner, but I quit and was gone for a few years, so I started over.
I am loving the shooting thing, and my wife actually seems to like it. She got burned out on the racing.
Thanks everyone for the comments.
I just put a new slip on grip yesterday so that makes it like a new gun, so I am not sure I will be on my game today. But I am looking forward to trying out others guns and see what I want next.

Not everyone posted it it, but almost everyone wants to remind you, "She's a keeper." But I'm sure you already knew that.

Best Dang birthday party ever. Around 40 friends/family showed up for some fun. I tried out my SD9 after having the apex kit installed, and adding a grip to it, and it was dead on. Shot over 300 rounds out of it with no problems.
I got to shoot some others that I liked, and will probably buy sometime. I am in love with the 1911 designs. If you are in my area I recommend the Ammo Depot in Caddo Mills Texas for anything you need.

Yea she didn't want me to post any pictures of her, so I did the one with my daughter who shot something besides a pellet gun for the first time. She loved it. I am going to get her a air soft gun and we will learn together .
I guess after 18 years its more like my wife keeps me around LOL. After all the **** she put up with through racing, this is easy.
She had a friend make the cake, it was good. All the stuff on top was made of chocolate.

Jump out of a perfectly good airplane? I had someone invite me to do that once a long time ago and declined. Being an LEO had sufficient risk for me, no point in adding to it.

Same here. I raced cars since 1989 and didn't see any reason to look for more harm
