Does S&W have a way to find when my pistol was made? Thanks in advance

Welcome to the Forum

Since the mid eighties, 99+% of the time it is printed right on the end label of the box.

On older models it is a 4 digit code number, much more recently it is actually the date.

One other way to get an idea is to look at the date on the envelope that contains the cartridge used in the test firing at the factory.

My SD9VE CA has the same date on the envelope and on the end of the box.
