Nice visible color.....did you fill in the originals with paint or change them out? I wouldn't mind making my more visible.....

Yes it is a do it myself paint job. It was suppose to be glow in the dark paint , if it does at all it is very faint. But I like the way it shows up in the light. Started with the front sight. Then heard something about this straight eight style.

Sig-Sauer used to use the single-bar in the back sight ("Von Stavenhagen sights") on a lot of their guns, and it works well. I have orange paint on a couple of sights but invariably go back to white after a while...

I've always found night sights hard to see except in very dark conditions, but I've always wondered why I would want to shoot if I can't see the target.

I saw the straight eight sights while looking at new 1911's , I think these were Heinie. Watched a video that explained why he thinks it is better & faster lining up 2 points than three.
I have been to the range just once but I do think I like them.
I am not about to spend that kind of money on these or other night sights. I found this glow in the dark paint & decided to give it a try. I like the orange color but the glow is useless.
I think the front sight is good but I'm going to redo the back dot.
