Default SD9VE guide rod laser?

I'm looking for a guide rod laser for my SD9VE but can't find any makers for them. Any suggestions?

If one were available, cost would be prohibitive. More than the cost of the gun. Average price about: $345.

I can't say for sure since I haven't put a guide rod laser in mine, but the standard gen3 19 guide rod and the sd9 guide rod are nearly identical

Laser sights on handgun for SD.

A Laser mounted on/in an SDW has no practical value INMO. It is a novelty and huge marketing gimmick. When it comes time to use it the batteries are either dead/weak, have poor connection, or you have forgotten how to turn it on. It may not be zeroed, or you may have difficulty picking up the beam. Time and Bad guys wait for no one!

I have never had one....to cheap to spend that much money for a laser. Also , not real comfortable with non essential parts floating around in my slide.

I have seen too many of the guide rod lasers break as in come apart and when they do your gun is dead. I don't sell them cause I would never use one. Crimson trace makes the best lasers the one for the Sigma / SD pistol is part # LG-406 and it comes on when you grip your pistol(the button is on the front strap under your longest finger. Should run around $190.00. Good luck.

Plus, these pistols are very easy to point and shoot. If you can point your finger you can point these guns.

I did buy a laser ($30 class) which mounts on the rail. Have never fired with it on the SD9VE, will do some time, to see how stable it is. I'm still shooting with the factory sights and they work well for me, a former long-term rifle shooter and contestant.

Battery life and brightness are not a problem but I don't yet know whether firing will change the pointing location. I like the idea although laser pointers are not well-liked by many knowledgeable members of this forum.

When I get a round tuit I will fire with it and report back.

(Just for reference, I don't carry the weapon, don't even have a holster. I did have one and the gun went in easily with the pointer on it.)

I'm very interested in purchasing this Laser here in Arizona:

? TACTICAL PISTOL RED LASER FOR ACCESSORY RAIL - ALUMINUM - Phoenix guns for sale: firearms, handguns, rifles - backpage.com

It "looks" like a good deal for only $29.99 - However - I'm also fully aware of the old adage - "Ya Getz Whatz Ya Payz For...."
