Default Range time FTF

Went to the range yesterday with my sd9ve and experienced 5 failure to fire out of 2 magazines using 124 gr ZQI ammo. I've shot around 100 rounds of this before without issue. They all looked like they got a normal primer strike. Loaded them back in and 4 of them fired the second time, put that last one in my friends Glock and it fired just fine. My gun didn't look that dirty

Funny thing, I was just telling my friend how my sd9ve has shot anything I've put through it !

Interesting tidbit : He let me shoot his other Glock which is a 10mm and even though it had more recoil I did much better shooting it than I ever do with my sd9ve

Have you changed any springs?

Ff hey may use slightly harder primers. Putting the last round in a Glock doesn't mean anything. To see if the Glock would give similar results you would need to shoot the same amount of ammo. Even you said you experienced only any few failures to fire with the SD.

My Glock occasionally has FTF with Russian ammo. Sometimes only one per box sometimes 3 or 4, so it does happen but it's known that Russian ammo use hard primers

I haven't changed any springs, no issues with this gun until this . Hopefully just a lousy batch of ammo . I cleaned it when I got home but it didn't look very dirty
Thanks for the feedback
Norm

More than likely an ammo issue. Try another brand or a different lot and see if it happens again.
