Default S&W sd9ve sd40ve sdve sear spring install trick

After beating my head against the wall for way too long trying to wrestle my sear spring back in place, I came up with a stupid-simple trick.

The spray tube from a bottle of Rem Oil spray is the perfect diameter for a slave pin. Snip it just long enough to hold the spring in place and push it out with the real pin once it's in position.

Took me all of a minute once I had the idea. Hopefully it will save someone else the frustration.

Stay safe, shoot straight!

Trouble is, if you are like me, you have lost those damn little straws and you have like 1 to share with 8 cans so can't go cutting them up

But good thinking. I have used finishing nails, cotter pins, roll pins.

By the way, a very helpful thing to have is a box of assorted roll pins. They are like $4 at Harbor Freight.
