Default SD9VE front sight fitment

I know this has probably been covered before, and if so, I apologize because I can't find a straight answer anywhere.
I have an SD9VE that my son uses to shoot steel challenge. I'm looking to install a set of fiber optic sights on the gun (probably warren tactical). I've read multiple places about rear sight replacement and how anything compatible with an M&P (non compact) will fit - but what about the front sight? I can't seem to find any cases of someone actually replacing the front sight on an SD9VE slide.

So, bottom line before I spend $$$: Will an M&P FRONT sight fit an SD9VE or not?

We decided on the Tru Glow fiberoptic sights. Fit like a glove, and look AWESOME. Since my son is away at military summer camp, I'll take it to the range tomorrow and put about 50rds through it to see how they operate.
