Sigma/SWVE parts interchangability
Since most of the users of this forum have been here much longer than me, I was wondering if any of you old hands knew how many of the Sigma/SWVE parts can fit into the SDVE pistols ??

I don't have the list in front of me, but fewer than you'd think.
The magazines and RSAs are the same within caliber. The SD sights are M&P compatible, but not SW. The sear assemblies are the main parts changed from SW to SD and don't interchange. Several small parts, like trigger return springs, are the same in SW, SD, and M&Ps.
Some add-ons are in the "can be made to work" category.
APEX kits for SD are unique to SD.

Sigma/SWVE parts interchangability
Would a SW9VE slide, barrel, etc. (upper) work on a SD9VE lower?

Thank you, gentlemen, for your replies. Considering that I'm quite fond of this pistol (SDVE) it is VERY frustrating that we owners don't have the parts availability and basic schematics that owners of other pistols have. This is, of course, traceable back to S&W !! Considering the (seeming) popularity of this model, I just find it curious these items aren't available. Apparently, even SHOP MANUALS aren't available to gunsmith's !!! Just weird !!!

I'm with you 100%! I love my SD9VE. I would like to do some things to take it to the next level, such as a ported barrell and slide, but I'm not willing to fork out what people are wanting for them on GunTrader (and similar sites) and then pay for the machining.

I'm not really positive but I know the sear block is different, locking block probably too. You would be better off buying a used upper from a SD9VE or a SD40VE.
Maybe find another SD9VE CHEAP, LOL ?
