First holster(IWB)
I'm looking to get the first holster for my SD9VE. I have decided go IWB for versatility. The two leading holsters are the Rawdog Tactical Defender Pro and the Alien Cloak Tuck 3.0. They both have really good reviews. Anyone who has experience with either holster is more than welcome to chime in. I'm also going to put up a poll with the two holsters, but if there are any other IWB holsters you think I should take a look at please do post them.
As always thanks for any help.

I carried my SD40 in a clamshell kydex holster, not dissimilar to the Rawdog, for a couple of months before I went with the Alien Gear. Since then I might have used the kydex twice. The Cloak Tuck is great once you have it fitted to your likeness.

A few weeks late, but I carry my SD40VE in a Raw Dog IWB holster. I've carried it in that for a couple years and from Ohio to Myrtle Beach and back on vacation in complete comfort. The Alien Gear may spread the weight around a little better, but Raw Dog's single clip makes it a lot easier to put on and remove when necessary.

Matt

I'm a big fan of Wild Bill's Concealment's Covert Carry Holster.
Wild Bill's Concealment | The Professional's Choice
1) It's a tuckable design, so you can wear it with a dress shirt if you need to.
2) the clip is offset to the rear which gives it a lower profile and helps keep the butt tucked in tight. It also creates a wider surface area that helps comfort and stability.
3) Leather is far more comfortable than Kydex in hot or cold weather.
4) The mouth uses a double thickness of leather around an insert so the mouth stays open even in thew waist band with the pistol removed.
5) The single clip makes the holster easy to remove if you're shooting a striker fired pistol with no manual safety, so that you can insert it in the holster while visually observing that there is nothing obstructing the trigger.

Kinda depends on preference and possibly body type but I really like the urban carry G2. Really comfortable but may need to wear looser pants to prevent it from showing as much.

Got my alien gear holster in. It's very comfortable. Has a wide range on adjustment and fits the SD9VE like a glove. Also works pretty well with a tucked in shirt. They also have more discreet clip options if you want. After some adjustments I moved mine to the lowest setting with around 7.5 degree cant.

Thank you
thanks for all recommendations and info. I decided(2 or 3 weeks ago) to go with the Raw dog, because the easy on/off. Due to my work I have to be able take it on and off without taking off my belt. I also the retention of kydex, not saying leather is bad just that wears quicker(in my research). Again thank you all, I'll take all of your input into use going forward.
Brian

For all y'all running the CE Holsters, How are the clips? Do they yank off the belt when you draw? Been looking at them and might order one.
