Default Another family member now owns a SD9VE

My brother in law came over this weekend and showed me his new pistol.....SD9VE. Said he liked shooting mine so much he had to get one. Cleaned and lubed it....showed him a few things about it...After letting him dissemble mine, he said he will get the extended take down lever for sure. He installed Talon grip on his....think I like that a lot. Showed him this forum, and he should be joining later tonight.

Good for him, hope he continues to enjoy it.
After 1500 or so rounds, the only thing I have done to mine besides cleaning and lubing, is putting on Traction grips.

At the range, it is one of the last firearms I use.
Go from lightest trigger to heaviest. Started out at about 8.2 lbs and seems to settled in a lb less.

I too, just hit 1,500 rds through mine (SD40ve). Trigger is very smooth but heavy! The only modification I did to mine was to plug the open gap in the bottom of the grip, and changed out the plastic rear sight with an M&P stock iron sight. I Love the way it shoots and I have had Zero issues with mine.
