Question Uncle Mikes Holster

Since my new SD9 is such an exclusive firearm (Academy Exclusive) I want to carry it in an Uncle Mikes Holster. I went on EBAY and came across this holster (In the link at the end of the post). I have never used a holster like this , so, those of you with experience, is this the holster that fits my SD9? What's good about this holster (if it's the correct one) all of my 4" barrel S&W fantastic plastic firearms will fit.
If there is a better model of this kind, a cheaper model, etc., please don't be scared to share it here. Thanks!

I've used an UM #15 Sidekick holster for my SD9VE's for several years. The ambidextrous model adds the mag pouch and a somewhat funky thumbstrap. The ambi model is a bit bulky for me so I went with the Sidekick version. It's a very good fit and a bit less than the ambi version. On the ambi holster you have to adjust a flexible plastic strap and a Cordura strap (both Velcro secured) to secure the pistol.

Best Regards,
ADP3

I carry my sd40 concealed in a uncle mikes nylon super slide paddle type holster number15. I loop my belt on the outside of the holster to give me good concealment. These holster are very adjustable, it can also be adjusted to carry a S&W 40 shield, Ruger P95, and many other firearms. They are also very cheap to buy, I found my holster on line for less than $20.00.

Also take a look at the Bulldog Extreme FSN-7. Ambidextrous with belt clip, loops and mag pouch. Same price range as the UM model.

Nothing wrong with Uncle Mike's holsters, but you can get one just like it at WalMart for around $10.00. There are a lot of holsters available for that price if you look around a bit. Just sayin'.

You won't find a super slide holster in any wall mart by me, we have 4 super centers in my area and their selection of holsters is a joke for concealed carry.

I've always gotten good service out of Uncle Mike's holsters. Sure, I've probably spent more on holsters for some guns than the gun actually cost me. Still, I have used plenty of UM's as well. It is what it is, and it does what it does. What it does is generally good enough for what's needed.

The key to using them, or really any holster is a good belt. The belt is where you shouldn't cheap out. Get a quality belt, and you'll be miles ahead, even with a less expensive holster, than many people out there.

Blackhawk and Gun Mate make exact looking holster for less money.

I have one from Gun Mate I gave my wife to carry her EAA Witness.

Same holster fit my SD9VE.

Nothing good about it. That holster doesn't secure firmly to the belt. It flops around and moves around. The cheap material stretches and makes it move around even more.

Buy a good holster and be done

WalMart has a Crosman C11 BB Gun with a holster just like this one for $27.00 in my area. I asked the clerk at Wal-Mart about their holster selection. He said they moved all IWB and concealed holsters online. It was in responds to the political climate.
Thanks

You guys have Walmart with firearm related stuff? Cool!

This is why I don't use a department/grocery store to judge anything gun related. One store carries holsters and another doesn't have anything firearm related

I think it looks good. And, my Glock G17 fits in it as well.

The nylon holsters are OK for a very cheap holster.
Dont pay more than $5-10 for one. I have been using one that I bought for my BB Pistol. I have used it as IWB for my SD9 and it is terrible after it is "broken in". Leather or Kydex if you are serious about carry. Just my 2 cents.

Right now I'm using a Blackhawk Sportster/ Serpa !!! Need a belt attatchment for it, but I can make the paddle work by not using it as a paddle. Cost me about $ 27.00 @ WallyWorld. Get the best gunbelt you can afford !!
