Default Comparison pics of SD40VE and PT111 G2

Picked up a PT111 G2 w/ stainless slide this week and thought I'd post some pics of how it compares size wise with my SD40VE.

The PT111 is a good gun but I prefer the SD VE. The best things about my PT111 were the price and the ability to use my Sig Sauer magazines.
It's nice that the sights are adjustable but I almost wish they were like the SD40VE sights with the larger dots.
I think it may be the best value for $200 there is. What else can compete in that price range?

Yes, I'm going to order the mag extension and a P226 18 rd Mec Gar mag to try out. I don't think my P229 mags will fit.

I couldn't pass up on the deal to snag it. I had a PT111 Pro in the past, ended up trading it and wished I didn't. I found a spare mag in my parts bin and thought the obvious thing to do was to buy another one to make use of it! So a Gen 2 it was.

You'll like the MecGar AFC magazine. Much easier to load than the Taurus mags.

Very nice pistol. And, I thought the SDVE series was a great price/value. It looks like Taurus has a winner there.

I had a G2, it was a good gun. Only problem I ever had was light primer strikes occasionally. It didn't like perfecta ammo at all. I'd lose approximately 5 rounds out of every box. I sold most of my pistols and replaced them with S&W's. I wanted all of my triggers to be the as close to the same as possible. I had a SCCY with a 9lb trigger pull, a Charter Arms with an 11 pull and the G2. Now I have M&P's and SD's. When I had the variety I could always shoot the one I practiced with really good but couldn't shoot the others for ****. Now I shoot all of them equally as good.
