Let's See Those SD9's & SD40's
I bought my SD9 from Academy Sports last weekend for $349 +. I also own a few SDVE's, M&P's, Rugers, and Glocks, as well. But, this SD9 is so much smoother in the trigger over the SDVE, IMHO.

That's an SD9VE you posted there. I was asking to see the SD9 & SD40.

Other than the sights and melonite coating on the slide, is there a difference between the SD and the SDVE?

Yes.
The trigger pull is almost 7 lbs. on the SD9. It's about 8-8.5 lbs. on the SD9VE.
I tested mine, along with several others, both kinds (SD9 & SD9VE).

Ok, I'll play.
My son bought this for me several weeks ago at ACADEMY SPORTS when they were on sale for $329.

I didn't initially like the two tone on my VE, but it's grown on me. But the all black SD is very nice too. Cool gun, I like the upgraded sights.

My original SD40 with tritium sight. I don't know how many thousands of rounds through it (who really counts) and not a single problem. No "upgrades" because I don't need them. Very reliable and hard working machine.

I think I like the 2 tone more. Makes it much easier to clean, and for open carry it makes the liberals happy since it's not all black
Fiber optic sights are nice though. Might get some.

To "HADES" with those tree hugging Snow Flakes! They need to stay in their safe spaces with their coloring books and flowers!

I agree, but if they call the cops on me I get inconvenienced. Luckily I can avoid it with a completely meaningless aesthetic feature.

4 years later.... 3000 rounds down range....
4 years later.... 3000 rounds down range.... still a champ and hardly showing any wear marks and the internals are like new! I think for sure, the pistol is quality from Smith and Wesson. This has been my EDC, holstered daily and the finish is holding up.
