Default Range Test - Apex Upgrades

I got to the range today to live fire test the Apex trigger and spring upgrades on my SD9 “Academy.”
I shot a combination of:
Winchester 124 grain NATO
American Eagle 124 grain
Blazer Brass 115 grain
Blazer Brass 124 grain, all FMJ’s.
Federal HST 124 grain and Speer Gold Dot 115 grain, both JHP’s. Total round count was 128.
The first picture was two magazines at 7 yards. All shots were fired just over 2 shots per second. The second picture shows one magazine fired from the 10 yard line and one from the 15 yard line at the same shot pace. The results, at least for me, are acceptable.
Once again the gun fed, fired and ejected every round without incident. As with the dry fire, the trigger was much smoother, with a shorter reset. I’m going to guess about 15%-20% shorter. Keep in mind that guess is subjective. Reset was maybe 10% shorter. Maybe. Again, subjective. Regardless of the take up/reset, the trigger pull, while certainly not perfect, was easier to enjoy. Smooth, consistent pull, faster follow up shots, less thinking to move nothing but your trigger finger since there was less labor involved to accomplish the same task of making the gun fire. The Apex parts functioned perfectly as there were no issues, as previously stated.
Just FYI.

Glad to hear you like it. Did you do the basic spring kit, the trigger replacement, or both?

Same here ,Installed the apex trigger and spring kit today,Did have to do a little filing on the backside of the trigger but not much. Then took it to the range I don't have a trigger gauge but it feels like it has gone from 10lb to around 5-6lbs and very smooth.Huge difference,It feels like my Glock 21 which is 5.5lbs ,Apex rules

I got about 5.5-6# of pull after doing the full upgrade myself.

Very nice. Congrats on your upgrades.

I have installed nearly a dozen Apex kits in various SD9's and SD9VE's. The kit pretty consistently produces a trigger pull of 6.25# on a Lyman digital scale. Which is a huge improvement.

Why are some having to file down the trigger? You would think APEX knows/known about this and would have fixed this problem.

Good question,I've read that some have not had to do any filing at all.
