Default Grey frame - SD9ve - looks awesome

I prefer the look and apparent texture of the these grey framed SD9VE vs the black and shiny finish of my SD9: S&W SD9 VE™ HI VIZ(R) Sights Grey Frame Finish | Smith & Wesson

Looks good, but my SD9VE has a flat black frame. The older ones, pre December of 2015, were the shiny and smooth ones.

I wish they just had standard steel 3 dot sights instead of these Hi Viz sights and I need another SD9 like I need a hole in my head.
All that said, I'll probably end up owning one next time I go to Academy.

Thumbs down

That is one ugly SD9VE! I don't have to worry about buying that one. Did S&W fill a hat full of color choices and randomly pick one from the hat? SMH!

Could've saved me some cerakoting! Bought my SD9 back in 2014 though. They've improved a lot since then (trigger, sights, grip texture) and hopefully the reputation turns around eventually. I'm sad that my SD9VE is less of a special snowflake now.
