with all the new sd9ve models coming out, any hopes of 4 inch single stack coming out, like the 4 inch XDS?

I think there's a better chance of a 4" Shield coming out than an SD9VE single stack.
The SD9 is fairly thin for a double stack and I carry my custom SD9 Kompakt (11 rounds) fairly often.
What I want is a S&W the size of a KelTec P11 with a nice trigger pull.

I would like to see an SDVE with night sights and a trigger at about 5.5-6 lbs. But, the only drawback to these (2) options is, it would raise the price substantially, and it would be too close to competing with the M&P. How you say? The price would be less than an M&P, and it would almost have an M&P'ish trigger.
IMHO, I think this was one of the reasons S&W stopped producing the SD series back in 2012; it was too competitive with the M&P. That, and S&W wanted to combine the Sigma with the SD to give us the current SDVE firearms.
