I have two primary ccw handguns, a Gen 3 Glock 19 which I carry the majority if the time. Purchased in early 2012, installed a 3.5-lb Ghost disconnector and night sights and has had a shade over 12k rounds thru it. My usual CCW ammo is Rem Golden Saber 124-gr+P JHP though I have carried and used Win Ranger 127-gr+P+
My other ccw that doesn't get carried as much is a 2014 mfg 442 Airweight that I keep Fed 158-gr+P LSWCHP in. Has had prob 300-400 rounds thru.

When I read it I thought you meant SD as in Self Defense not SD model name

Ok....goin the other route
SD9VE, roughly 400 rds through it. Had it about 3 years. Always ran cheap ammo, perfecta, blazer etc. Never any plus ammo of any kind. Have HornadayJHP in it right now and it rests in the hideaway pocket in the couch

My SD9VE is a year and a half old. Was my EDC for most of that time.....sharing some with a CZ 75 compact clone. Last two months a CZ P-07 has taken over the EDC duty.. Lost track, but the SD has about 700... ..not over 1000 rounds fired. Most ammo thru it is Freedommunitions 124 gr hp/ Winchester WB 115 gr, S&B 115 FMJ or with my SD rounds of Federal 124gr hydro shok, ...... I do not shoot +p ammo.

My primary EDC is a year old Ruger SR9c with 2000 rounds through it, mostly Speer Lawman 147 and Speer Gold Dot 147. My second carry gun is a 4 month old Shield 9 with 850 rounds downrange, also mostly the Speer.

Kahr P9094N How long have you had it: 12 Years, how many rounds through it: Hundreds, 9mm, if 9mm std. +p tested different factory defense loads. Have you ever used +p+? Never.
Geoff
Whose standard carry round is the Hornady 9mm Lite, because my wife can handle it in her Model 38 or my Kahr.

I have had my SD9VE for 4.5 years and have carried it almost exclusively during that time. I have 8,000 rounds through it give or take 500 or so. The only +p ammo I have shot has been defensive rounds and those not too much, except to cycle carry ammo as needed. These guns are built to last, I had to replace the striker assembly at about 6500 rounds but the rest is all factory, yes even the trigger, which after 8000 rounds has smoothed out nicely.
Enjoy shooting yours.

Owned my SD9VE for a little over a year now. Have 1700 rounds of standard pressure factory ammo. Only work done was I lightly polished the trigger bar and sear. Never a bobble to this point.

My EDC is a Ruger LC9S Pro and at this point I probably have in excess of 2000-2500 100% problem free rounds thru it. As it was my first 9mm I had to acquire some cases so I have purchased 1200 rounds of Remington UMC because I prefer Remington cases to reload with.
Compared to my previous carry pistol, a 40 caliber Sig P239 the LC9S is light as a feature and it fits very nicely into a soft pocket holster in my right front pocket. However due to the rather light trigger on this model it is ALWAYS in that holster anytime I either remove the pistol from my pocket or place that pistol and holster in my pocket. Yeah, I have done drawing drills with the pistol unloaded and cocked so I can confident I can actually draw it safely but I see no reason at all to risk mishandling this pistol during an everyday activity. Anytime you are doing something on a repeated basis it becomes too easy to become less careful so keeping the pistol in it's holster is an extra layer of protection from a ND.
As for that trigger, it's breaks at exactly 4.5 lbs. per my Lyman digital trigger gage and the pre-travel is only about 1/16 inch. So, it is NOT a trigger to be careless with. On the plus side it does make this a very accurate pistol to shoot, so accurate that I have had people ask me what I am shooting. When I show them the little LC9S in my hand they are usually a bit dumfounded.
the only potential "defect" is that this pistol has the sights regulated for a Combat sight picture with 147 grain loads and shoots a 6 o'clock hold with 124 grain lads. The result is this is that with common 115 grain range fodder it does shoot low, something I usually don't remember until after the first magazine of that 115 grain UMC. Then I remember to set the front sight high in the rear notch and put my shots on center.
Sum it all up and this is a pistol that is easy to shoot well with and has been stone cold reliable with Speer Gold Dots and Federal HST as well as a wide variety of RN range fodder. Fact is that at this point I have not had one single failure of any description, so It's a pistol I know I can trust. I will also note that the rub marks I see on the frame at this point is minimal and doesn't seem to be changing with more ammo expended. However the paint coating on the slide, some type of matte silver gray, is wearing off and the high points on the exterior of the slide are showing bare metal. Which doesn't matter to me because I bought it to carry concealed and I expect to see some wear from this duty.

Had mine since Dec. 2014. Has just shy (apx. 350 rnds.) of 6K rnds. through the pistol. Generally shoot Federal 115 fmj aluminum case and a few scattered brands here & there. SD9VE. No +P yet and NEVER any +P+, as per Owners Manual !! Trigger started @ 8# and is getting smoother. Had some magazine issues, getting some spring/follower packs & rehabing the mags, along w/ some new mags. I LOVE THIS GUN !!!!!!!!!!

Had my SD9VE since Saturday. Just got it out today to test functionality before a basic pistol class on sat. 200 rounds dirty Russian monarch bulk 115 gr ammo from Academy Sports without a hiccup. Forgot to clean and oil it before going out today. Loved it! Not bad for a pawn shop find!

Some I've had....
I don't think I've had any of them long enough to put 1000 rounds through and rotating 5-6 guns spreads out the wear and tear, if there IS wear and tear.
The compact 9mms get standard load Gold dot or Hornady XTP, right now I have some Golden Sabers.
My J frame .38s get +P Speer Short Barrel.
I've never messed with +P+ stuff.
For my HD .357 686 I use low end .357 loads for in the house to keep our ears from being blasted out. My wife has super sensitive ears. They are much better than any .38 round you can buy, though.
I handload, and I have pushed the max on standard and +P but I haven't gone out of the published realm.

The SD9VE has over 10k rounds through it. It has also been dunked in a 5 gallon bucket of water to see if it would hydrolock, slung against a few trees and tossed on concrete a number of times. The only failure (believe it or not) was when it was brand new the striker broke. Smith mailed me a new one and that's been thousands of rounds ago. Williams Fire Sights and the Apex spring kit make it a great self defense weapon for a reasonable cost.

I've had mine for a few years now and have at least 1000 rounds of various brands through it. I use Hornady self defense jhp for my edc round. Great carry pistol for anyone. With the advent of the new ammo, it'll do the job as good as the so-called big boys.

SD9VE, I've had it 3 - 4 years now and put about 1000 rounds or so through it in that time. Only had 1 or 2 failure to ejects and those were generally with Aluminum cased ammo.

Never any issues! Sweet handgun, passed it down to my son after I bought my Shield 45.
