Default SD9VE Apex Trigger Issue

So I've owned the SD9VE for about 2 years now, the Apex trigger/spring kits for about 1 year. I was practicing and when I pull the trigger the following desire wont happen. I pull the trigger and it's a 50/50 if I get that click I desire. If I shake the pistol with the trigger pressed down it will fire (obviously not loaded while doing this) and I have tried to take some of the trigger off thinking that maybe it was the issue. I don't think it is....I haven't gotten to the range in a few months due to work but this gun went from working perfectly with 500+ rounds under the belt to unreliable....thank God I wasn't in a situation where I needed it to work reliably.

Any idea what this could be? No rush, I got another SD9VE with a stock trigger I switched to until I can get this guy fixed.

Replace all Apex parts with factory ones. 1700 rounds on my bone stock gun, never a bobble. It has gone bang every single time.

Probably right, but I did figure out the issue though. A small bit of dirt got into the trigger safety and prevented it from going all the way down. I took it apart and blew it clean and now it fires every time.

Though you are right, going to get a Glock 19 I think for my daily carry....I dislike the stock trigger on the SD9VE and honestly I'm basically using a $375 Glock 19 at this point.

Yeah as much as I love my SD9VE, I am debating between a .357 Magnum Revolver and a 1911 in .45ACP.
House rules would require I sell my SD9VE upon getting a new gun.
(by house rules, I mean wife is tired of me getting more guns and said to buy one I have to sell one. Same rule we have for the kids when they get new toys)

I guess I got your wives mentality :P I'm selling my Ruger MK3 and both SD9VE to get two Glock 19s lol. I borrowed my father's Gen 4 over the weekend and I dunno why but my accuracy was amazing with it compared to the SD9VE. I dunno what changed or if I just had a lucky day but everything seemed better. Getting my sights on target was easier, rapid fire was more accurate, my distance shooting was far closer, and my groups were tighter at 15-20yds during training.

Targets I had issues hitting reliably at 30-40yds I was striking with amazing accuracy with the Glock. I even took a 70 yard shot at an old detergent bottle and got it within 5 rounds (twice in 12 rounds total)...never done it before with a pistol. I felt like hickok45 for a few minutes there, just wish I had a gong.

Funny enough I use to hate Glocks, I didn't like the way they felt and I didn't like the trigger, amazing what a few years of training will show you. Got a long way to go in terms of training but I think Glock just won my daily carry heart.

I love GLOCKs. I prefer them to the SD series or M&P line, but don't shoot them as well as either of the S&Ws. Nothing wrong with a GLOCK at all.

I dunno, I just shoot at small soda bottles/metal plates (8"x8") at that distance, the only benefit to my girlfriend's A&W addiction. New enjoyment is back to back hitting the bottle and keeping it moving. I should mention I have my own land to shoot on, once I build my new dirt/wood berm I could do some actual grouping shots. My goal is to defend myself against a person so I train for that mainly, all shots are fired standing up. My 15-20 yard training is pulling via concealment and quickly firing at my target with accuracy.

All I can tell you for sure is I could very easily put a human sized target down at that range with about 90% accuracy on a chest sized target (standing, no running or anything the real world would throw at you, but I'm building a course for that soon ). After 40 yards it starts to get a little more wild, but I'm slowly getting better After getting that 70 yard shot today I'm going to setup some plates that far out. This Glock has gotten me more excited than a fat kid with cake.
